Why don't you guys mention the guy who really started out with them? Who hitch hiked with Axel and Izzy to make their beginning. i love Steve such a nice guy and when i met him at a bar in Toronto called RnR Heaven he was he only guy in the band that was approachable and wasn't completely out of his FVKN mind like some of the other members of the band lol ,bought him a beer and a shot of Jack and talked about the tour but mostly about his drums hes a. huge Neil Peart fan so we just chatted about our fav bands and i said thanks and said goodbye. glad he still with us and doing what he loves. Adlers Äppetite is amazing and my friend AJ plays guitars for Steven. keep on Rocking Mr Adler!!!!

Stevens band, Adler’s appetite came to Tucson years ago 03 maybe it was, He was sitting at the bar in the club and he was so cool. Telling me stories and just being kind. He left a cool leather jacket on a chair at the bar before the show started and I held it. Afterwards, as the band was leaving to get on a tour bus, I yelled out to him and said “Hey Popcorn, Your jacket bro” He looked at me and said “It’s yours!” I still have it. Thanks Steven. You’re a bad ass dude. 🤘🏽

If you can get past Steve's physical struggles with his speaking (due to his partly paralyzed face), you can see that he's very intelligent as a musician so it's no wonder why he was such a crucial part of one of the best RNR albums ever made to this date.

I really appreciate these episodes for context and the views of the informed guests, but I just feel some of what is said in this episode(and I subscribe through spotify), just doesn't feel true and that needs to be said. Metal was political but not self consciously political, because after all they're just kids. This is much like GNR was at first even when they really "broke", you can see it in interviews where they might like to be serious about things but it's just not natural for them. And EVH was phenomenon of like of Horowitz, its funny because he(Horowitz) claimed that in order to stay in the US he played some works really, really fast so he would garner immediate attention, but I guess Horowitz just played fast scales. Enough said.

I have been a Brazillian fan of GNR since 1989. Knowing the story and visiting Los Angeles 4 years ago for the first time, I made a pont of getting to know Canter' s Deli. I spent a couple hours there, of course ..got the book, saw the table..For me , it was such a remarkable day, fantastic. I really expected to see you there, Marc..but it didn' t happened. I will visit LA again next June and I will go visiting Canter' s Deli again. I would be more that lucky if I just had the chance to see you there. Hugs from Brazil.
