Why did Thomas Tuchel take the England job?

Why did Thomas Tuchel take the England job?
The diffrence is, that Wirtz WANTS to go to Bayern because he WANTS to play with his partner in crime musiala
I think that sane's more in amental slump than anything else. I mean before he rejoined the bundesliga he was always this great talent who was supposedly be goos enough for world class but it never seemed like he was trusted though. And we all know that he struggles with attitude and mentality. But when he arrives at bayern he quickly got recognition and he was hyoed quite a bit which i guess helped his attitude. Being cherished is always a booster. But for the past like 2 years he again is more criticized and i guess that IS something thats on his mind alot. He just needs time to adept to his new role and get back in shape. If he is back there he might not be a starter for germany but he will Return to being great.
Historically speaking, ripping the spine out of an Austrian club to build a German one is slightly disturbing.
Compared to Wirtz and Musiala he has just not that quality. He is a good playmaker, who is sadly veary unconsistent at times.
💯
Its a really good point you raised about the box to box kind of players who do a bit of everything but end up doing nothing exceptional, I mainly watch Spanish football and one of the names that comes to my mind is Saul Niguez, idk what happened to him, once he was so bright and talented, used to take players on make some nice line-breaking passes but all of a sudden he became a player who wants to be anonymous at times, who wants to be just another guy. You guys would remember his goal vs Bayern, everybody knows it, that seems like a fever dream now. Saul last season was decent defensively but he wasn't doing anything when he got onto the ball, he might have scored one or tow because of his late runs into the penalty area but in terms of actual ball progression whether it is through passes or ball carrying, he was nowhere near decent and in the modern game it feels like there is no space for such midfielders who defend hard pass horizontally and then dash into the box, it is so unfortunate that Saul developed into a player that was out of fashion. I guess he became that way partly because of the coach as well because he was playing him in so many different roles, the player stopped seeing himself as a valuable contributor to the team rather as just a brick that could fit into any wall. I am sorry I went on a bit of a rant about Saul but yeah as you can tell I was a fan of him, still am, hope he finds himself at Sevilla.
That's a great point! We're not big Spanish football fans, but that's a perfect example of what we're talking about.
Hey there, another Frankfurt Supporter here :) You pointed out our weaknesses very accurately, we're currently over performing both our defensive and offensive xG by 4 goals each, that's certainly helping us look better than we are right now. It also makes the evaluation of Dino Toppmöller's coaching performance harder. Last season, although here were occasional glimpses of great tactical sophistication, pretty much everyone was in agreement he needed to make serious changes to both his pre-match planning and in-game coaching which led to more than a bit of vocal criticism in the Frankfurt bubble, echoed by the club management saying "It's not *that* hard to ignite the supporters". Today, pretty much everyone is either a devoted Dino fan who (mockingly) shun their coaches' former critics on social media, who have albeit cleared the field in unanimous defeat. But it's not hard to see why it didn't work last season: PSG leaves Kolo's departure to the very last possible moment so there's no replacement lined up or signeable so Dino sets his focus on establishing the defense. Due to neither Ebimbe nor Knauff finding their roles as 4 at the back fullbacks and instead more offensively minded 5 at the back wingers, defensive positioning usually prohibits Eintracht players from committing forwards effectively and with the lack of a true striker, the "U of death" was inevitable. Frankfurt was a good defensive team last year by necessity, not by choice (although Dino surely didn't mind conceding fewer goals). This year Frankfurt can withstand *some* pressure but their impressive offensive firepower seems to have cost them some defensive solidity. Over all, that lack of defensive solidity in late game situations sadly often comes from substitutes and from often venting sustained offensive pressure with long balls that hardly establish a sense of control or the relief the might have brought 20 years ago. Of course, Marmoush and Ekitiké are phenomenally quick so the defense first mentality seems to bear a lot of fruit against high pressing teams with overwhelming possession ability like Bayern. The problem of conceding a lot of late goals is the natural byproduct of having a very young squad with a lot of permeability towards time on the pitch but I'm honestly very happy to bite that bullet. If we were not subbing out valuable players, the wear and tear would become unbearable again come next year, so saving players from overplaying is a very smart strategy call which has arguably already come too late for Kristensen who's injury replacement, Nnamdi Collins, is pulling an absolute blinder. Cheers, got a sub out of me.
I was going to comment fully on your analysis in this video, but after what the guy said in the last minute, as a Hoffenheim fan, I don't want to say anything anymore. After all these years and unforgettable moments... You say this? Hoffenheim belongs in the Bundesliga and will stay in the Bundesliga forever. NUR DIE TSG!
Life-long Frankfurt supporter here. Your takes are on-point. At the moment, thanks to Omar and Heki, we are EXTREMELY efficient. Eventually, in all likelihood, this will end at some point. Even though we have great defenders (Koch, Theate, Kristensen, Tuta) we get too many goals. Not sure, what the issue is. But confident that Dino will solve this. If we make 5th or 6th, I am more than happy. As to Marmoush: Apparently, Liverpool is in pole position at the moment. I hope he will be with us until the end of this season. Really good channel I have to say
Thanks for the comment and the kind words!
Maybe but I want Frankfurt in the Champions! League next year. 😊 I hope they find a solution for their defensive issues
This game made good on all of its promises... Cool channel I have to say
Thanks!
FC Bayern please buy Omar Marmoush...False No.9 to the max.
No way St. Pauli is the biggest brand behind Bayern. It's just nonsense.
St.Pauli is gonna get cooked by the way. And I'm a BVB supporter and would love for them to beat Bayern.
St. Pauli is the one of the Bundesligas biggest brands😂😂😂😂😂. What is their brand? Antifa/Lgbt.. cannot wait for them to be relegated.
Kolo Muani isnt welcome in frankfurt anymore, after his behavior concerning the PSG tranfer.
Kolo can’t come back to Frankfurt…burnt bridges
Great video on my club - thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for the quality content. If one thinks about it, then Dortmund could also have been won, if Chaibi scores one minute before the 0-1. Leverkusen would be a draw, if the referees wont consistently do bad decisions and even Union could have been a win, if Chaibi didnt fumble. Poor guy, like him, but I fear he cant process such slipups very well, given he doesnt play since Union anymore.
don't think he will be as good in a posession Team Their play style suits him well
Great analytics on Frankfurts current success as well as the reasons for the steady development 👍
Thanks!
I hope they can push Bayern to the title this season. Marmoush is class 🇪🇬
Sahin is an excellent coach and has almost the same ideas as Kompany, of Guardiola's philosophy, which is to keep the ball as much as possible and control and dictate the game. We need this style in Bundesliga, because most of German teams are weak in posession and players are not comfortable playing with the ball. Sahin and Company will bring a new style to Bundesliga.
Leverkusen's problem is that the players lose the ball quickly and easily, espcially in the midlefield. They do not keep the ball too much, like other top European clubs, and this is a phenomenon we see over and over again in many German clubs. Why don't Bundesliga coaches improve ball posession ?
I do not agree with you that Marco Rose is among the best coaches in the league. He is a coach who does not read games well, and many times he weakens his team with his tactical changes in the second half. We have seen this many times in CL; when Leipzig leads in the score, they lose naively in the second half
Even the Stuttgart players admitted it’s their worst game of the season in their interview. They definitely didn’t “allow” Leverkusen to play like that today. It’s just one of those days that we couldn’t put the ball in the back of the net.
We feel as if Leverkusen players are tired . They are unable to counter their opponents physically.
Bayern should capitalise on Leverkusen's complacency and grab 3 points against Union Berlin.
Hmm... I don't know if I agree. It sounds like you both are more impressed by Stuttgart's game, but honestly, I think they were lucky to come away with any points today. If Nubel didn't play the way he did today, the game would've been Leverkusen's. The stats don't lie in this case... It was GK prowess and some lack of finishing that did Leverkusen in. It'll get there though.
Outcome-bias through and through. Stuttgart were unable to create chances and unable to prevent Leverkusen from creating chances.
Bayern linked with the Porto keeper
Yes, heard that link. He wasn't very impressive against Man Utd in the Europa League a few weeks ago, let in two soft, soft goals at his near post from hanging crosses, well, from my memory.
First
Why do you think Hoeness hasn’t been linked with any of the big jobs in England? I thought he was ready made for Liverpool
He was approached by Man Utd in the summer and turned it down.
@@GegenpressingPod it’s only a matter of time you’d think. Leverkusen really overshadowed their achievement last year, they would have won the league with that points tally the season prior.
he has to go sadly. just not good enough for us.
I agree with your takes. RB Leipzig look similar defensively to Liverpool this season. Attacking they look a bit off compared to last season.
Get Urs Fischer. So poor in the Pokal vs. VFL Wolfsburg. Can’t understand the phase many clubs are doing with hiring managers/ex-players that have little to no experience at managing at that certain level. Disappointing
Yeah it sucks that it is this early in the season, but I really don't see it with Sahin, unfortunately. We need an experienced coach. The german-speaking-manager rule makes it hard to get a good one at this time though.
Glad someone finally called Xavi Simons out. Wonderful player but he's been off it all season long for us - last season he was the new kid on the block but this year he feels more like he has to be the main man which doesn't help. Be interesting to see how a Nusa/Baumgartner duo does for a while as they're more direct. The football this season has been incredibly slow and ponderous despite the stellar points return.
I love Nuri…for what he did for us as a player. But he wasn’t ready for this job. We needed an experienced trainer, simple as that. Big mistake from the men upstairs. Even with the injuries, we should be better than this.
He was not ready for the job in the first place.
Facts
Hey guys, i think union berlin definitely warrants a video now after today's result which pushes them to fourth, ahead of teams like freiburg, stuttgart, frankfurt and dortmund; which are teams we've all waxed lyrical about at some point in the season. Honestly quite commendable how well theyve done especially after losing gosens on the last day of the transfer market
We’ll definitely do a deep dive on them soon 👍
He is my fave player. But totally agree with You. Where us that Israeli keeper we bought.
Its frustrating bc of how early Sahin made his tactical adjustments. Definitely a game he can learn from, I think he overthought it a bit in the second half and there was no going back after taking Gittens off
I used to hate Bayern because they won the Bundesliga a lot, but now I hate them because of their fans.
😂
Clearly you have no class!!
we need to let go some players , actually a lot. As much as i hate to say it but neuer needs to step down as a sub and we should go in January for a new young keeper, fix up the defense sell both kim and upa , they just arent as good as people think they are. Go for a young promising midfielder and sell goretzka. Sell coman/sane/gnabry and go for an all new wingers.
I think that's unfair to say, dortmund controlled this game well in the first half. . . The manager just had a moment of weakness, making a defensive substitution 10 minutes into the second half. . . Put that down to inexperience, and then vini had a field day off the left. . .
Fair point!
No comments. Why? Let me correct this anomaly. I think it will be very difficult for Leverkusen to retain their title this season. I know it's still early in the new campaign, but they no longer have that X-factor they had last season.
Very fair point!
One of you obviously hate bayern. It's sad to see people not being able to be neutral on these kind of talks.
SAD 😢
not only was the goal around 30 seconds after sane was offside but bayern stopped their attack, played the ball back to their CBs and tried to build up another attack. all stuttgart players were behind the ball. the rules state that a new situation starts when either the other team gets in posession or if the team passes it around the back and have to build up another attack which is exactly what happened. so now we have a "Journalist" (who obviously hates bayern and tries to badmouth them every chance he gets) crying about a decision by the referee and the VAR which was completely correct.
and then all the excuses for stuttgart. as if bayern players weren't exhausted as well whenever they came back from international duty. referee get's criticised for giving the offside goal but not for calling a foul when pavlovic get's injured, right? jumping for a header and his opponent was waiting for him to jump before he pushed him to lose balance. clear foul and yellow card but referee gave nothing. why not speak about that? your bias is showing.
hahahahaha crying about an offside 60 to 90 seconds before the third goal is so funny.
HILARIOUS
He obviously don't like bayern, if you already start your videos like this..
2:56 Backwards to international football?...how so?...international football is the chance to become a legend...they will find a way to knight Thomas Tuchel if he wins the world cup for England...in 2002 Brazil won the world cup I can't tell you who won the champions league in 2002 for certain...
let’s not rewrite history here. He wanted a 3 year contract extension but Bayern was only willing to give him 2 years max because they didn’t fully trust him
Woah, the feedback coming from the guy on the right's audio is too much.
Yeah not quite sure what went wrong there. But we’ll make sure it isn’t an issue in the future!
