The Henson Hour 2

Jim Henson does intros to segments of The Henson Hour. Blue screen ultamatte was the normal keying colour back then. This 20 minutes is a lot like watching paint dry and shows how much patience everyone must have when working on set. And the camcorder had serious back focus problems. Not the best footage but good for it's historical value. - Steve
From 1987
Steve is Wembley and no one else can replace him.
OMG😂😂 THE GUY @ 13:05 LOOKS LIKE HE'D BE ON T.C.A.P. -"TO CATCH A PUPPETEER"😂😂 JUST NEED LIKE GUY SMILEY TO PLAY CHRIS HANSON!!
Hi Steve. The scenic artist was Al Clothier
Hi Tim. I remember you from VTR/CBC.
6:12 who's that guy?
3:13 does anybody know who those guys are? or were?
this was the episode "Mirror, Mirror"
0:10 I'm quite sure that's Trish Leeper inside the body of Ma Gorg, she also played Mokey Fraggle's right hand and Tosh Fraggle, is she listening to music waiting for her cue?
Wow. Steve doing Waldo
These are absolutely wonderful, thank you so much for your foresight in recording these, and thank you so much for sharing them with us today. ❤
R.I.P
1988, Wow I was 7 that year
Young Steve looks like a rock star! Like he's about to take a guitar and play some wicked solo! Well.. actually he still looks like a rock star...
Red is so cute.
sick man
Your sick
Where is Gobo Fraggle
Change of Address, where they find an undiscovered passage to Doc's new home in Arizona.
did that guy whistle dog city theme
i couldnt even get through ten seconds of this without going and listening to the actual pointer sisters song sheesh its so good
That matte was amazing!!
i know that dan
did you hear that other guy whistling
I love Betty Bootsie!
The Muppet Workshop in New York often grudged thinking that Henson preferred the Creature Shop in London, seeing as they worked on more and more of his works. But if they knew that the project he loved working on best involved the Muppet Workshop, all that jealousy would melt away.

I miss jim rip henson
LOOOOVE THIS!!! I could watch hours and hours of how they made this amazing cherished entertainment years ago! <3
I wonder how the other versions of fraggle rock ended since the Doc scenes were different in other countries
Just found this video... The Fraggles-Episodes were all identical, just with native speakers. Sadly for the german version, the last season wasn't synced after episode 83 anymore...
@@michaelkeller5008 thanks I’ve seen this before. That’s why I was wondering how the ending was filmed in other countries since USA Doc was actually on camera with the fraggles in the finale. Did other versions actually have a different set of fraggles to be filmed with their version of doc?
@@jwilliams7554 no, only "doc" was replaced; the other charachters just gotten a new voice... as for the german version, they did a realy good job replacing doc and the voices (and dialogs, too). Eg. in the german version, Doc was played by Hans Helmut Dickow. A VERY good replacement IMHO. The britsh version played in (or under) a lighthouse, the french under a bakery, while the german version followed the canadian lead
Steve Whittier sounds like Mac Schneider voices
Just realizing that Steve & Piggy DEFINITELY had the same hair at that point.
Was Frank Oz ever on Jim Henson Hour studio in Toronto? was the same studio where Fraggle rock was filmed?
My dream job. I would be so honored to be have been involved in anything Jim Henson produced.
OH NO!!! A FRAGGLE!!!!!
At 15:27, Gerry Parkes(R.I.P.) He was a wonderful actor. I read that if people would ask him for his autograph, he didn't mind at all because he loved the attention. He loved giving autographs to fans. Doc on "Fraggle Rock," is probably his most famous role.
Henson was a genius.
I went and watched the La Bamba number just to see how it turned out.
The Magic Song still brings tears to my eyes. Somebody please find a clean audio of that song so I can listen to it in full
I'd like that too.
Same
❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is soo cool
So cool to see the behind the scenes magic that this group has
Faz was the reason I got into FX, it is a real shame I didn't get to meet him. I later worked at HENSONS in London. great place to work.
0:55 Ma Gorg's head hanging with the eyes closed makes me think morbidly about headhunters displaying the severed heads of their victims. :o
Fascinating and very enjoyable to watch.
Love how Karen is wearing a shirt that looks just like the one Red always wears. And Steve's hair looks just like Wembley's
9:46- 9:52 Boober's dances crack me up.
Go Boober. Break It Down
I LOVED this show! That's where I learned to say , *"Oh, MY DOG!"*
Behind the scenes footage from Fraggle Rock is always very neat to watch, if you ever find any more that would be great
Thanks for posting. Incredible!
This matte was used in "Ring Around the Rock" during the scene where Junior is poking at the ground after losing the ring (just as Ma comes out to talk to him). That places this video in the spring of 1986.
This stuff is gold. Thank You so much for sharing.
So agreed!
