One of the major reasons I love Zilla is because he gave me one of my favorite fights in the Godzilla Franchise. The first fight in Godzilla Rulers Of Earth. That fight is a genuinely invigorating read, with a really fun back and forth, actually showing off Zilla's fighting prowess and allowing him to shine on his own. Hell, he later came back and saved Godzilla during the final fight. Plus he's just a generally interesting character. While he doesn't have the strength and durability of the king, he is fast, and he is very crafty, as shown multiple times in Godzilla '98, Godzilla The Series, and Rulers Of Earth Edit: 4:11- Ultima Slander, LET'S GO!!!

When I was kid, Tristar’s Godzilla was my first Godzilla movie i ever watch, sure the haters despise this movie because it doesn’t count a Godzilla movie, but i like this movie in my opinion and I think is a good movie to start with. When I first saw American Godzilla I think is the real godzilla, until when I saw Japanese Godzilla trailers on DVD of Godzilla 98 and watching a movie review of Cinemassacre‘s GodzillaThon, i realized that something was wrong, I found out that the Japanese Godzilla was actually the real godzilla and the American version is not, Even My Sister notice that was well. And I was not alone to figure that out. That’s A True Story. Right now since tristar’s Godzilla is 26 years old, Zilla is not a bad monster and he is still part of the family of Godzilla Monsters, toho media and still to this day.

I never hated him at all , and here’s my main reasons 1. His film introduced me to the character. 2. The tie in animated series sequel did enough to redeem the flaws form the film and earned the title Godzilla. 3. It’s still a damn good looking design .

Zilla must join the Monsterverse, he can be sub-species of Gorjia living in the Hollow Earth.

As my friend and I put it, it's a good kaiju and a good film, but it's not Godzilla.

They reintroduced Zilla in the official toho show of Godziban in the official RUclips Channel of Godzilla. It's a puppet show and they made Zilla female, pink, and she's obsessed with tuna, it's nice that the japanese fans are apreciating Zilla too

I don't know why I'm typing this, but i might as well Godzilla 1998, his son and zilla , i feel they would be better if they were never apart of the godzilla/ toho brand? Like Gorgo, sure it would get called a Godzilla copycat ( yeah obviously, originality isn't a easy thing cause someone else has probably done it if you can think it ), but at least he wouldn't be seen as a "terrible" Godzilla or a subspecies of Godzilla. Long story short they are now forever cast under Godzilla's shadow and i doubt they'll ever be free of. Always seen as a poor man's Godzilla ( even the compliments always have to mention how he's a terrible Godzilla with exception being Jr, but even then he doesn't get called godzilla often). I'm not great at explaining stuff, but it's hard to love something when majority of the people you want to share it with either doesnt like it or only sees it as a knockoff.

I saw the movie a few days ago and I also like it a lot. 8 out of 10 from me. My main problem with the movie is that Godzilla felt like a side character. I personally can't wait for the upcoming movies. Hopefully they bring Destroyah in one of the future films. And Zilla as well. He should come back as his own character. Anyways, great video !!!!!

I prefer calling him Godzilla than just Zilla. It’s not fair for him. He still is Godzilla. Just as how shin Godzillas 2nd form is still Godzilla. Also if you don’t think Godzilla 1998 should be called Godzilla I’m still pretty sure you would still consider “Zilla jr” as Godzilla

I do know why but some of the critics basically say This movie is nothing compare to -1 godzilla, and i be like..wth dude..that like making comparison between tomato and potato. This movie have different themes and should not be compared with each other

I think I ultimately liked this one. But my main gripe is how much it felt like a marvel movie. It’s not enough to be a deal breaker but is enough to keep me from calling this a better movie.

Now if only Toho treated Zilla the same way Tsuburaya treats the international Ultras

Personally I have to agree I love the fact he is his own Kaiju It would be cool if in modern films that they included him as a species related to Godzilla but not Godzilla This could be easily done by him being a different species that lives in the same family tree in the monster verse Or maybe we get Zilla as a main character and then Midway through his own series he gets nuked a second time and becomes Godzilla proper Hell I would even take the idea of it being a creature Godzilla can spit out and have serve him like if shin Godzilla were to spit out a bunch of zilla's instead of shin Godzilla humans

I hope Patrick Tatopolis has been following all this. The Godzilla he created has been truly redeemed and accepted not only as a version of godzilla but as somethimg that stands on its own along side godzilla.
