It depends what type of shows you do. But to be honest chamsys is the best console to learn since you can output artnet for free.

Thanks for the video, but I wanted to ask you, how do I connect an MQ80 to the streamdeck?
You need to have a computer connected with the companion app in order to send OSC commands from the streakdeck to the mq80

Nowadays you don't really need macros, group cues takes care of pretty much everything

Chamsys can output 64 universes of artnet in demo mode
@@guillaumelalonde7945 Thanks for your quick reply! I get that, in my case i can't even Patch it, only 18 Uni is available, rest of them are "dark" if i can say like that.. from 19 they are unusable. Hope you understand what i'm trying to say..
@@aleksandarsekulic2818 in the view dmx/io window hit the "set universe" button and then type in 64. It'll restart chamsys and enable 64 unis

HI, doues the streamdeck works with chamsys without a console? I don't have any blue hardware, just the magicQ on my MAC with an Enttec USB PRO XLR device directly to the lights. Thank you
No you need to have chamsys out of demo mode to receive OSC.

can you describe how you do this? and if it would be possible to create this on chamsys as well?
It's a whole load of macros within the gobo cuestacks. Essentially the basics of how it works is for every gobo I have a shake fast and shake slow palette. If you turn on a cuestack with gobo shake slow you can then have a fader with gobo shake fast that controls LTP chans, so it fades up to the fastest speed. The trick is for every gobo you need a fast and slow palette, with a way to change which ones the fader and cuestack is assigned to.
You swapped from Chamsys to MA? How is the workflow with MA? And how long it took to get used to new console?
Really wasn't all that bad. They are incredibly similar when you get down to basics. I'd say it probably took me 2-3 days to get used to the MA. Although I'm still in the process of building my MA busking showfile. There's some stuff I miss about chamsys and there's some stuff I love about MA

I usually do 9001 outgoing 8001 incoming from the console. So for companion it would be 8001 outgoing 9001 incoming

How do you make a "Stop all" macro for the exc window, for example I have a hand full of cues active and I want to make 1 macro that would "release" ALL (or stop) rather than having to toggle/release each one? Similar to Release all but only on a exc window??

Yes there is a way, you can make the button on the exec window a toggle. The buttons in companion will act according to how they are set in the exec windiw
