sadly the series ends with season 5. But not the adventures of the characters, their currently talking about continuing things *somehow* like in a movie, though their not sure if it will be live action or animated. Bolmier's actor is willing to play his character for the next 17 years.

@@AngelEmfrbl That’s good to hear.. It would be interesting to see all the other Lower Decks main characters as live action. (That crossover was one of my favorite SNW episodes)

@@IznbranahlGoose I'm sure we'll find out next year what the next project is. They recently noted that Lower Decks is the current no.1 Star Trek show as well so... Its too popular to drop.

season 1. is Romulans and the Borg, season 2 added Klingons, season 3 added the Crystalline entity from TNG, season 4 added the whale probe from Star Trek 4, season 5 added Apollo's hand from TOS "Who Mourns for Adonais?" , V'ger from the motion picture and a Tholian web from TOS episode "The Tholian Web"

For the battle scene: Black cube shaped ships: Borg Cube, one of the major threats in the galaxy, cyborg organisms that assimilate other species to add their biological and technological distinctiveness to their own. Green hawk shaped ships: Romulan D'Deridex-class Warbirds, Romulans are one of several major powers in the universe and served as both advisary and ally to the Federation. The D'Deridex-class is roughly equal to Starfleet's Galaxy-class starships. Brown DIY looking ship with lots of lights: Pakled Clumpship, Pakleds are a race of scavengers that loot or steal other Faction's technology mostly due to the lack of intelligence and wisdom within their own population. Green smaller hawk shaped ships: Klingon B'Rel-class more commonly known as Bird of Prey, Klingons are another major power similiar to Romulans, less treachery more fighting. The ship following one of the B'Rel: Breen Interceptor, the Breen are a minor race of isolationist people, they remained fairly unknown since they had no diplomatic exchanges with other races outside of attacking if someone entered their space. Large crystal structure: It's a crystalline entity first encountered by the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D (TV Series TNG). It destroyed at least two Federation colonies before it was destroyed, however several more exist throughout the galaxy. Large black cylindric object: Whale Probe from the 4th Star Trek movie. It enters the Sol system and attempts to communicate with Earth's inhabitants using whale sounds, however since the sounds are unknown to humanity due to the extinction of the species it proceeds to attempt the total destruction of Earth. A klingon Bird of Prey comandeered by James T. Kirk travels back in time and obtains whales to bring them back to the present and save Earth. The giant green hand: In several Star Trek series the existance of superior lifeforms that have transcended biological life was discovered. One such discovery was by the USS Enterprise, finding the being worshipped as the greek god Apollo. Said Apollo proceeded to capture the Enterprise with a large green hand in orbit of his planet. Small metallic ship drawing an energy "beam" behind itself: Tholian web ship. Tholians are another minor and isolationist race, they capture and destroy starships entering their space by use of energy weapons, in particular the Tholian Web, a constant energy field that they wrap around the target until it's unable to escape. Large cloud formation: The nebula/shield formed around the V'Ger probe encountered by Starfleet in the first Star Trek movie. It's purpose was to collect data and return to it's point of origin and it's course would set it straight through Earth's orbit. It had previously destroyed a klingon fleet of 3 K'Tinga-class battlecruisers and a Starfleet monitoring station with ease. The alien creature sucking energy from the Cerritos' warp necelle after the battle scene: A reference to alien lifeforms like the one encountered in TNG's episode "Galaxy's Child" where a fledging space living alien uses the USS Enterprise's energy to nurture itself.

​@@CptPeo iirc the movie and most other sources suggest the whale probe wasn't trying to deliberately destroy Earth, its attempts to find the missing whales were simply on such a massive scale that it was wreaking global devastation, and it seemingly had no mechanism to stop the search if it couldn't find the whales.
