Best video lights for travel filmmakers!
Thank you making this excellent video. 🙏 Are you still using it 4 years later? ⏳
@@dwylhq874 yep! It can still capture shots that a drone can't😁
My GoPro kept overheating so much. I sold it and bought the DJI Action 4 with the mic2 transmitter and I’m never looking back. You have so many things attached to this camera. I can record for hours with the DJI now without it overheating and not having to worry about losing footage.
Cool video, well done ! The wire will show in the footage though ? It's a pity it doesn't have a medium speed mode that matches a man's light jogging pace as well.
Cool video ! It's a pity it doesn't have a medium speed mode that matches a man's running pace as well. Isn't there some other more compact and lighter product for this use case out there ?
This is awesome!
Amazing, so excited to see what you can do with it!
So excited!!!
How iss it going?~Super~stunning picture.
Can it also accommodate a media mod of GoPro?
Yep!
@@TRAVELFILMEXPLORE That great. But I my MediaMod doesn't fit, can you show us?
What is the brand of the longest pole that?
Hi, great vid. Can you explain how you mount the cam facing up and down? Greetings from Belgium
Thanks! ..GoPro cameras will automatically flip the frame orientation when they are upside down so you don't have to worry about which way up they are!
Thanks for your swift answer. I am very interested how you achieve the facing up and facing down shots? Are these shots smooth?
Hello There, I've been watching your RUclips channel, and I'm impressed by your content. But your channel is not growing. I'd love to share some growth ideas with you. Let's have a conversation for a while. Regards
Fantastic review, and some really impressive footage from a very simple design and affordable product that the GravGrip guys have been able to produce here. I also, was very surprised to see you only have a Subscriber count in the 100's, because you are a natural at presenting/speaking in front of the camera. I thought I had the longest selfie stick (Telesin) at 3 metres. Guess not !
Yes it's a great little gadget, simple but effective and very affordable, I'm really happy with what you can do with the Gravgrip! Thanks for the vote of confidence re my channel too, encourages me to make time to post more videos! 😊👊
Which is beteo..cat s62 or backview??
I haven't used the cat S62 but I'm very happy with my Blackview...they last forever!
Really cool shots, one tip : if you want to get rid of the jittery stabilisation, try limiting your shutter speed to 1/100 or above, that should help in low light situations
Can you use an iphone on this?
I’m not sure I understand the point of this tool for an action camera with so much built in stabilization and horizon control?
its not so much about stabilizing your shots...as you say Gopro's already have awesome stabilization, ..the Gravgrip lets you you achieve perfectly parallel rising shots though which is hard to achieve otherwise..especially with a long pole!
Thanks so much for this. I wasn't aware of the tilt or the gear changes from any other review or the website. Just seeing a few other videos I wasn't even sure I could swivel the camera to capture from the side vs from the top. So I'm glad the flexibility here is gonna work for a lot of cool ideas. Light weight ideas. Even if you can't always get the ideal cinematic shot, you could use it to practice more important jib test shots and just-in-case b-roll.
Thanks! Yes they are a great little tool for achieving some cool shots with action cameras, without the weight and hassle of an electronic gimbal :)
Good video and an excellent review. The GravGrip is now on my list of things to buy.
Which GoPro did you test this with?
This was shot a couple of years ago using a Hero 8, - the Hero 10 & 11 give even better results :)
Is it possible to do rising selfie shots with the GravGrip?
Awesome review! Can’t wait to try mine out. By the way, why does your channel only have 369 subscribers?? You deserve to have at least 20k+ subscribers at minimum. New sub here mate. And job well done. 👍🏻
thanks very much for the vote of confidence mate! ..I need to get off my butt and make more videos I guess!😆
I also ordered one, will be shipped to the Netherlands, have been looking for a simple one without software control for years. Every gimbal I've had, it just wasn't what I wanted. I always film with movements. Find that long extendable stick very interesting.
Hi I would like the link that would take me straight to buy the level rotation accessories for the gravgrip plea
Great review man! After having purchased the Insta360, I hit a creative wall due to it being a fully-electronic gimbal -- especially in rougher outer shots. This seems to be the perfect solution for those 'don't worry about breaking it' situations. It really looks like it emulates the features of a 3-axis gimbal without the headache and weight of the kit.
I need to find people to help me build amphibious homes.
Great review of the GravGrip, especially coming from a pro - thanks! Just ordered one and can't wait to get it in the field. Just subbed also ;)
thanks! ..they're great for waterfalls :)
Combine it with new Insta 360 ;)
funny you should mention that! I bought an Insta360 a couple of years ago for just that reason, then covid came along and I forgot about it..still havent tried it but will very soon! Yes the new Insta360 would be even better :)
Thanks for sharing your review! It's great to get a professional shooter's perspective. I have a GravGrip arriving tomorrow. I'm excited to start using it. Your underwater to above water shots gave me ideas for using that I had not thought of.
Thanks! They are a great little accessory and I'm sure you will find it useful and have fun with it :)
Australia really got sucked into the whole covid shenanigans. First camera review ive seen where covid was a selling point. Heh
Chris Hansen be like
this is AMAZING, love love love the videos and passion from them/ your voice. Definitely can't wait to see more of your works
thanks very much! 👊
Great video!!
Thanks!
PLEASE share links 4 buying this product
Bought one a while back and forgot about it till now. Thanks
its crazy i just got a gopro 10 and was wondering about a tool like this, and discovered it while looking for screen protectors , watched a few videos and loved yours ,and had the same thought be nice if i had one for my gh5...my setup kinda heavy so what would that tool have to look like?? thanks for your review and field test
Hey Cody, thanks! Yes the Gravgrip is a great tool for gopro's, and as far as something similar for bigger cameras (I have a gh5 too) - watch this space :)
Nice work man! Count me in!
Awesome review and subbed
Thanks for the sub!
Use the Insta360 camera, and you dont have to run several times to get different angles. :)
I bought one for that very reason but havent tried it yet!
loving the idea of this, tad expensive for what it is but cheap compared to the pro systems (just stupid prices for remote motor and a bit of string)
I have had the Blackview Phone for a year. Sound stopped working. I have to try 3 - 4 times to get Bluetooth to connect. The puch function does not work on some apps. Some functions on Strava and Signal dont work. Two days after the one year mark, the phone restarted itself and all data was gone. Thats when i had to order a new phone. /// Blackview customer service was not a help. /// The Camera quality is sub optimal.
Which model have you got? Ive only had the BV9900 so dont know about their other models.. Ive had mine for 5 years now and never had any issues at all, and Im pretty tough on my phones!
Did the bearing rust from the sea water?
no, all the parts are either stainless steel or plastic so is very durable!
Its verry cool
I like this vidio..☝️☝️☝️👍👍👍👍👍
thanks!
Fantastic video Dave! It was a really great watch. We are happy to see you enjoying your GravGrip! Thank you
Im interested to review this product.
Decent and CONCISE review. BUT one MAJOR Critique, you don't do much audio work I take it? Your medallion kept hitting the mic. Not saying remove the medallion, I'm sure it has some sentimental value to you, then 4 things: 1) move the mic down or 2) Put a bit of moleskin on the back of the metal clip to act as a slight dampener 3) Undershirt 4) put clip through button hole so the back is touching fabric. Next big issue; NOISE. Lots of it in the audio, which a quick pass through AUDACITY could fix, seems like the mic gain is too high, but you also seem like a naturally quite guy, real conundrum. I don't know how to fix, I'm naturally loud, but that's because I had my hearing destroyed at a young age, leaving me with the hearing and frequency response range of a 90 year old.
Thanks for that! Very useful tips.
thanks!

Do you mind sharing a link or name of both door solutions?
I really liked this documentary style short, water has never sounded so fascinating to me! The camerawork and editing looked like a professional standard fit for a David Attenborough series. Well made film.
Thanks very much!
