Doggy junk journal ephemera part 1

Working on a little junk journal for a dear friend and thought I would share with you some of the process. Also, so sorry but the frames I used were from an Etsy shop called ALittleJournalTime - Antique Frames and not from Vibe of Vintage as I stated in the video....my apologies. And a couple of question....would you prefer to see this type of video in a faster time speed or is real time okay. ...

Versatility album part 2 featuring new page style options. #minialbum
OMG sooo magical where you buy material supplies?
Amazon for Kraft-Tex, Michaels for cording, Pinterest for images
Wow. That is amazing. Do you have a tutorial for the box?
Love it. What is the paper you used. Fantastic journal.
Thank you. I scanned material I had into my computer and then printed out as paper. The images were from Pinterest.
Utterly breathtaking. Just stunning! ❤
Wow!
Amazing!
This is fabulous
Wow Janice! What can I say that hasn't already been said? This looks like a true labor of love and the most spectacular piece of art I have seen in a long time! I could sit and stare at this forever and look at all the little features you added to it. Just beyond amazing! And I agree, the entomology sections are really fun, definitely my favorite! I was so sad when Kathy at Paper Phenomenon had to take her Entomology Digital Paper off her site- since I had waited to purchase it, I totally missed out..... especially after seeing your lovely project you made using those papers. Your projects always amaze me, but this one blew me away. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent with us! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! 😊
Thank you for your super vidéo Is this methode deterirate the iron, i have only one iron ! Thank you again
Yes, I would not use the iron on clothes after doing this. Perhaps you could find a cheap second hand one that still works.
This is a fab idea! Question: The compartments that hold the 4 x 6 photos...is that pics only? No mats? Thanks!
Yes, pics only
I LOVE this!!! I'm going to try to make this.
I'm curious why you wouldn't melt your wax in a pan, then apply it with a brush?
I don’t see any reason why that wouldn’t work. Not sure if ironing helps ‘bake’ the wax into the fibers of the paper. A brush may only apply the wax to the surface but can’t say for certain as I have never tried it. 😊
@@janicefreeman8353 Thanks, gonna try it.
Wax paper and paper bags!!❤❤I started making collage papers on paper bags, and wax papers are wonderful, plus parchments paper! You've got some great results!! Thanks for showing us your techniqes❤😊
Wow what an incredible piece you created. Such a fantastic idea and truly priceless keepsake for a child. I am stunned at the creativity!
Amazing journal!! Would you please list the 2 digital companies you used, it was really hard to understand? Also, what is Pro-create? TIA!
Thank-you. I used SylvieVibes and DigitalBrushed for the tooled leather papers and some of the ephemera was from AlegraDigitals. Procreate is an app used for drawing.
The volume is so low I can't hear a thing. Pity because your Journal looks absolutely fantastic
So sorry…when I play it back, the volume is fine. Next video, I will record with the volume higher and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for letting me know!
OMGosh - I loooove this!! I love every single thing about it - the apothecary theme/case, the vintage - yet modern - vibe, the colors, the coffee dyed papers, the stunning images - and I love that you used the tattered edge papers - I don't know what it's called, but like, when you tear a page out of a spiral notebook, the torn bits of stuff left on the edge?? Most people throw that away, but I've always been fascinated with it - and I was thrilled to see how you used something similar all throughout this journal! It is magnificent - I just can't think of a proper word to describe it - a true work of art. If I could make something like this, I would treasure it always! I'm sure I'll be scouring RUclips, trying to figure out how to make some of the pockets/windows and the super cool flip-ups/flip downs you made in it - they are all sooo awesome! I'm literally in awe~! I am fairly new to junk journals - I started to journal when my son had a serious heart attack last year, because it helped me work through stuff - then I discovered junk journals~! The concept of taking "junk" and turning it into something useful - and beautiful - really spoke to me! I felt like I found the hobby I'd been looking for all my life and just didn't know it yet! It literally takes me back to when I was 8, and I'd be sprawled on the hardwood floor, surrounded by my papers, scissors, glitter and glue - It really is like therapy, isn't it?? I love it - and I aspire to one day create something as wonderful as this journal~! Thank you so much for sharing your time & talent with us in this video! It's my first time to your channel and I'll definitely be checking out more of your videos! Thumbs up!! And cheers from Texas (where it is storming, yet again!)
Thank you so much for the kind words! And welcome to the junk journal world!

Hello Janice. Is there a final review of the third version of the Versatility Album? Thank you.
It has been constructed but I still have not completed the matting and embellishing. Will try to get it finalized this summer.
this is fabulous do you have a tutorial?
So sorry I missed your comment until now. Yes, there is a tutorial listed with Paper Phenomenon. If you are still interested you can check out her shop at paperphenomenon.com
WOW! Those are amazing, Do you have tutorials on how to make this? IF so, how can I get them? Thank you
No, sorry but I did not do a tutorial.
Thanks for the tutorial. I figured I would share my project. I travel for work so I wanted to have a fork in the car in my glove box at all times but didn't want it just to be loose in the glove box so I saved a disposable fork from trader Joe's and waxed the paper packaging and put my own steel fork inside. Thanks again! (ps. do you use a dedicated craft iron or just your regular household jron?)
I use an old regular clothes iron
This is amazing!! What a great idea. I’d love to make 1if these for eh of my grandchildren. Are u going to have a tutorial on how to make this?? Tysm!!😍
Thank you. There is a tutorial for this listed under Paper Phenomenon.com. I am on her design team and this was a project I did there if you are still interested.
I chked her projects & for the memory box, it was smthg u made. But it was like a stationery desk. Not like this box. Did I choose the wrong one? I’d like (to try) to make this same project. Tysm for ur help!!😊
She is in the process of updating her channel so the project is there, just no photo yet. In her search icon, it is listed as Photo Memory Box. The Memory Box is a different project. I tried to send a link but I failed, lol. If you still have problems, let me know and I will get one of her administrators to help you.
@@janicefreeman8353 ok, tysm!! I appreciate it!!😍
This is absolutely the greatest project I've seen in years! Your shadow boxes are freaking amazing!!! You should make and sell those by themselves! They are incredible! Everything is just so well done. Bravo!!!!
Absolutely stunning! I need to figure out how to make that journal and that trunk. It speaks to my soul! Thank you for sharing!
I just got my answer on the size of your signatures. 😊 thank you so much for the tutorials. ❤
So beautiful! What size are your signatures?
Incroyable c'est superbe 😀
Are there any tutorials on this? This is amazing! I love it so much ❤
No sorry….it was to large and editing would have become way more of a chore than I was willing to do.
@janicefreeman8353 , oh yes! You are right! It is so beautiful! Thank you for sharing it. ❤️ Let me know if there are any tutorials on that box or something like it. Or is that an original idea? I wouldn't even know how to Google that! Lol

WOW, this is so so gorgeous. I am at a loss for words. (which is a rare thing). Do you offer classes for this one. I want to make one for my Grandson who plans on going to college for science....which is in a couple of years.

I wish I could hear you, I have it on full volume and it’s so hard to hear.
I just checked and the volume is fine…must be on your end, sorry.
@@janicefreeman8353 I’ll try again from another device. Thank you!
Absolutely spectacular! Oh my goodness - I've never seen anything like this before, and my heart is longing to make one just for me, but, being honest here, I don't think I have the required brain power to figure out how to put something so incredible together! I wouldn't know where to start. I love it Janice. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing piece of artwork with us all. 💕xxx
Absolutely amazing!! Will there be a tutorial?
No tutorial….sorry.
