I'm not gonna lie, I heard the Richard Harris version while watching Beetlejuice 2 and for a good 2 hours afterwards thought it was a re-recording of the LJB version. I was bummed when I found out it was indeed Sir Harris's version.

I love this underrated gem but it does tickle me that the song seems to get Japan and China mixed up, as evident with the Oriental riff and the lyrics "See your favourite dragon flying through the morning sun". Dragons in Chinese mythology flew. Dragons in Japanese mythology swam. The cultural mix up gives it that 80s charm, like Aneka's Japanese Boy and Alphaville's Big in Japan 😄

Great to see Geoff Bradford with an electric guitar as I always held him as a country blues , Peidmont style acoustic master . He was an early participant in what would evolve into The Stones. Mickey Waller later played with Rod and Ron in The Jeff Beck Group. and was tapped to be the drummer in the band Brian Jones was putting together at the time of his death ....

So good! The LP version of ”A Touch of the Blues” is the only LP that’s missing in my collection! It’s so hard to find, and often quite expensive. But I’ll find it sooner or later!

I think that ReBoot is the only show that features both of my faves (Long John Baldry and Tony Jay).

Ah, yes, Long John’s take on this classic song is truly wonderful. Jimmy Webb’s often ridiculed magnum opus is in fact one of my very favorite songs. “Wait for me” might be my favorite of the Pye records.

Capn Capacitor and Old Man Pearson!! We hardly deserved his voice in our 90s cartoons-- but we were so blessed to have him! I still adore Reboot to this day, and though I didn't fully appreciate his performance as Robotnik until I was much older, now it it just brings me so much joy to listen to those old clips-- especially since the advent of RUclips!! 😂

He was the best part of Toad Patrol. Proved that he could play more than just loudmouth villains like Robotnik or Mr. Tusk.

It's so hard to hear him in other roles without expecting him to shout "I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!!!!!".

I never saw him live, I was too young, but given that he gave Rod Stewart a kick start and also managed to save Elton John from a complete breakdown I do think he should be in a Hall of Fame somewhere, for services to R&R.
