This is a re-titled version of an early video '"Third try ". This was filmed in the years 2010, 2013 and 2018. Air Mauritius lands smoothly and safely near Blue Bay and Mahebourg. From here to the central coast the bus follows the Royal Road or Coastal road as it is also known.

Coco Villa Hotel is listed by Booking .com as a 3 star Hotel. When I stayed in 2010 and 2013 the views from the rooftop terrace were deserving of 5 stars in my opinion. It is 10 minutes drive to the Airport , 10 minutes drive to Blue Bay Beach and a 10 minute walk to the busy town centre of Mahebourg.

The new Highway to the north built by the Chinese saves both time and the chaos of traffic jams when visitors drive from the Airport to the Northern Beaches. These beaches have sand so white and soft it looks like icing sugar.

It took many years to find an affordable holiday and I found it at Fortuna Beach Apartments in Flic en Flac on the south west coast. Holiday Apartments are cheaper because you look after your own shopping and cooking. The Supermarket was a 5 minute walk away with cafes and restaurants, buses and taxis also close.

Chantauvent Guest House is a family owned and managed Guest House right on the beach and close to restaurants, cafes, taxi rank and a bus to take visitors to the town centre of Mahebourg along the breathtakingly beautiful coastal road. It is a 10 minute drive to the Airport and Mahebourg. If Chantauvent is fully booked then I recommend Park Marin Guest House just a short walk away.
