    Im from Germany. Like the Video Brother. We in Germany have a lot of Knife Crime. Think about that for a Moment and the way you closed distance. Why push and close distance. Push Kick would be your ability to bigger the distance while already striking showing your ready to defend. Every Situation is different. Might be enough to run away After Kick. Might have to go afer him Right After that kick. Bit dont Kick and stand there Wait what the guy is doing because he will be Angry when he get up. So get out or Finish. No regrets your the good guy. Your the one defending. If Push Kick too hard. Groin Kick can bring down everybody. Stay dangerous Brothers💪

    It would be nice to see practice with a dummy knife and a dummy gun that can realistically holster. Maybe a squirtgun made with realistic size and weight. This is definitely a good thing to teach.

    After 30 years of doing FMA and JKD, I have found that jujitsu develops more realistic fighting skills faster. I am currently a brown belt training with Blake Hayes. I do not have much of a submission game. I keep my game pressure based with the idea of weapons coming into play. Of course, when rolling, i will practice certain submissions. I also lead the defensive shooting group for the school where we alternate between range days and gym days where we work this kind of stuff. Well, the focus is retention and surviving a knife attack.

  • @davidrisselada6199
    @davidrisselada6199 4 месяца назад

    It absolutely blows my mind that people carrying guns are not training this. I think there is a false sense of security that develops when one takes a gun class and they can draw fast when the timer goes. I don't use them. Once my students can draw the gun from concealment, i begin focusing on doing that while moving.

    • @integrativedefensestrategi8272

      100! And, something to consider, the latest research in motor learning suggests that the best way to maximize the transference of motor skills is for skill development and skill acquisition to happen at the same time. Hope that helps a little. Thanks for the comment.

      I think that people get a false sense of security from having a gun on....period! Too many people get caught up worrying about guns, calibers, and loads (raises hand here) and forget that tactics have to meet the occasion. And I wish more people would "war game" in the sense of asking themselves "What would I do if?" From what I read that you guys are saying, all that stuff is vastly more important that "whether I carry a 9mm or a .45"

    I do own a quality ankle rig but it’s only used when we take a long car trip. In my late 70s I’m not too limber anymore so the gun is a long way away from my hand, plus when I sit down the trouser cuff comes up exposing the gun.

    Should practice distance control. Knives are devastating at close range. One never knows if one will get pulled. Yall should also practice a attacker pulling a knife at close distance. Footwork creates the distance and keeps you moving to avoid a critical strike. giving you time to draw. But good drills. I would not be trying to grapple in real life. Knifes are way too dangerous to stay that close to an attacker

    • @iseeyou8781
      @iseeyou8781 5 месяцев назад

      DO NOT put a Cerakote item in your ultrasonic cleaner. You will regret it. A field strip is fine. But do yourself a huge favor and have a compressed air supply. Ultrasonic energy will get the solvent solution in EVERY spot. The air compressor helps get it out. I would recommend getting one that you can also put the gun through a lube cycle. You will still need to lube the usual high friction areas but the right lube will be able to displace the water from the entire gun.

      Those who have done a lot of grappling in ta weapon based environment knows the problem lies in retaining a secondary weapon, especially when it's positioned on the legs. The chances of your own weapon being used against you is very high. And, when the data clearly shows that approximately 31% of attacks end up on the ground, a statement like Clint's set's the public up for catastrophe.
