I only watched a couple of episodes of this show when it was on. I really didn't pay a whole lot of attention to the family dynamic. The episode I saw was about the death of the father's siblings. This episode shows how domineering the father was and how he drilled his kids. during the church scene you could literally see how he is bullying his kids into his way of thinking. He is actually worse than Jim Bob Duggar. I however was shocked when I learned that he had actually raped his daughters. It makes you think that you should should never trust what you see on these reality shows, especially with these so-called Christian families. They seem to be the worst. I have a general mistrust of anyone who feels the need to put their beliefs on display as if this is a statement about what a good person they are. It turns out that just the opposite is true. We have to stop admiring people for the face that they put on we have no way of knowing who these people really are or what they are going through behind the scenes. To rape your own children. How do you live with yourself? He actually tried to run and hide from the police after there was a warrant out for his arrest. I just don't understand what it is about the ultra religious that makes them so dangerous in this way and we as a society need to really pay attention and study why it is that men like this seem to be so insulated. When are we going to learn the signs and protect young girls and women? I would love to know how his life in jail is going. I hope that every day he is terrified that he will be assaulted or worse I hope he lives with that fear every waking moment of his life it is the least of what he deserves.

Knowing now what those girls had to endure, such a hippocriticke Monster! He is the reason people are out off religion. He sits there and utters beautiful prayers but in the darkness is evil. Hope he rots in jail!!

Thank God, those children saw justice be done. They are lovely, their mental strength is amazing after all they've been through.

I remember catching an episode of the GAC show when it first aired and being completely freaked out/red flags everywhere by dad (survivors can sense these things miles away...). I knew he was bad news if he was willing to be so emotionally abusive while on camera. Was only confirmed when I saw the TLC show and you could see the kids reactions to him even more. God bless these kids and mom for staying strong and especially Jess for speaking out even while having to fear for their lives. So much flipping talent in this family (excluding scumbag Toby). Thrilled they are performing again and that these shows are back up here on YT.

Christianity - true christianity is about denying yourself, and dying the self... we have a corrupt nature, we must kill it. This way we can be living sacrifices to God, walking in the steps of Jesus: May Your will be done, Father, not mine!" - We can be religious, but religion cannot transform us - that sanctification process. It is the power of God when we obey and we seek to please Him, (hear His voice and obey it), not take the Bible like a "manual". Christianity is about relationship! This is what went wrong with Toby.
