Crazy good....just off the charts in every way. Annie and Pat (Guitar) are just an incredible team. And the rest of the band are at the same level and a perfect compliment. Catch these live if you ever get the chance.
Some of Nashville's best.....without a doubt!!!!
Met Toots a few times in the mid 80s on eastern Long Island. A kind, gentle man.
I love 4 over 3 played in perfection
Very good. But I once heard it performed by Kurt Cobain, Tina Turner and Elton John at a charity event. Slash of Guns and Roses was on a guitar he set fire to on stage. It was the best cover I've ever heard of it. The event manager overheard afterwards Elton say 'That's the greatest guitar playing, Slash' Slash replied, 'Gee Mr John, thankyu sow much. I always do me best'
The Saxophonist Adam Hutcheson is nailing the changes, he crafted his solo very well with great bebop motives, rhythmic variation, flawless timing and he built it up until the end! Bravo. He evidently has great influences by the masters like Phil Woods and others
Smokin hot!
Your play of this classic is so damn good I’ll be all over the WEB looking for others whom have done it just because your rendition of the set has struck a cord in my memories of beautiful class music😎🤣😎😎👌🏾🍀
Absolutely one of the best renditions of this I have ever heard and I’ve heard every one of them Where are you guys from anyway; it’s so gratifying to know people are still aware of this
Excellent very well put class n jazz in one
Bravi!
One of the greatest jazz hits of all time!
If the sax player should play less notes and choosing "the right note on the right place " he should sound way better. That is what Toots always did. Please, many notes is not ART ,it is a way to show that your inspiration has limits, I 'm sorry.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Well, this is valid for saxophone players in general. The instrument supports fast licks and scales and most players want to show that they have been in the shed and done their homework 😅 In this case I agree to the other comment: It's a great solo in all aspects. I do not understand your comment about the sax solo, because you do not say the same about the piano solo. Without having counted the notes per minute I would say that there is no difference. Both play quite modern interpretations of the tune, I like it.
Wow. I do not want to disrespect Joe's talent, but on first listening to this a couple of days ago I thought it was a younger version of Keith and his famous trio. This guy is definitely up there with the masters and I only heard of him when I went unto this site. Thank you for posting
Whew...Kate still does it for me, great chops and feel!. So pleased she is sharing her gifts by teaching others at Belmont College in Nashville. But Kate....we need some recent video if you don't mind. :)
Fantastic stuff! I find the audience response at the end of each solo a lttle restrained. I would be trying to clinb on stage and high five the soloist! (This is why I am banned from many jazz clubs.)
Joe you are an excellent piano player with great taste. You should be more well known !
amazing sounds
What a wonderful performance. Loveeeee it!!!😍😍😍😍
This Is the greatest performance of MEAN TO ME of all times!!! No one had never made it better! Not even Ella Fitzgerald!
Wonderful song.
It's a wonderful performance.
Love the time feel in Joe D’s playing…
Quartet is on point. 100% pro
Well tell us something like what city? US Canada Europe? Anyway nice except Perhaps your technique plays you a bit. I'm 11th thumbs up.
Took me 2 seconds to look it up….
Awesome!! Mr. Davidian, I am an aspiring jazz pianist, and I feel that I’m hitting a plateau with my ability to improvise, and I really want to be able to create soaring melodies when I solo. I can hear in my head what I want to play, but I don’t know how to play what I hear. Do you have any tips for getting better at this?
Sublime ! Excellent , Bravo !
Practice scales, fast, thats really all you need!
Hmmmmmmmmmmm love it. No annoying egomaniacal saxophonist (in this context).
😂😂😂
Yes, the difference between a jazz singer and a singer with a pleasant voice who sings standards. Ms. Paradise knows jazz.
Boggles my mind there aren't more views of this. These are are some of our best musicians -- albeit Richard Smith is a Brit, but, hey, no one's perfect.
Love it!
Very nice band, very nice music...
Cool !
So beautiful.... I've been looking for some versions of "I loves you porgy" and I really love it. Beautiful.
buenisama cancion
5 works well on the verse, cool idea. Very nice arrangement and great playing Joe.
Great rendition.
She is good. I like this song... may more successes..
So incredibly fine in every way. Four of my favorite musicians in all the world. All heart and beauty.
Sublime.
QUE BIEN

That is soooooo awesome!!! Just LOVE it!!! x Karlijn ♫♥♫
Too cool!!!!
Nashville IS the place for jazz!
Das ist schwingin!
Kate sounds sooooo sooo great!!
All of you are just outstanding!
Lovely playing. Pity the organisers couldn't have supplied a real piano!
I saw him at Bates college with a different group, they were incredible id definatly go see it again
Excellent trio, Manuel Valera Sr. is the best saxophonist Ihave ever seen.
