I couldn’t disagree more. Look up law of attraction, law of assumption & Abraham hicks. You attract what you believe & a belief is just a thought you continue to think. Hence why some people seem to just have everything as “luck” and others seem to have a hard time. If you’re focusing on all the negative, horrible things in life, then that’s what you’ll see. It’s your perspective that needs shifting. Eg. If I tell you to find everything red in your environment, red will be your focus and that’s what you’ll look for and see. But if I tell you to look for green in your environment, you’ll focus on the green. You decide where you put your focus and you have to take some responsibility for your own mindset which is what therefore creates your perception on your external environment and people around you.

I’m South African and one of my favourite quotes is Nelson Mandela in his book/film, “The Long Walk to Freedom” is “No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”
