Me and the dumb things I decide to do with my cars
Use your Quad Cortex as a midi switcher!
Why buy a midi switcher when you have a quad cortex?!
I just received my hologram electronics microcosm in the mail the other day, and wanted to figure out how to control it via the quad cortex. This is what I learned.

Rambling about the Quad Cortex...

Just a rant about my experience with the Quad Cortex. TLDR: Buy it if you want it.
this is great! thanks for sharing!
Thanks! I’ll want to trigger presets on specific pedals with the scenes switches. Hoping this is possible!
THANK YOU!
exactly what I was looking for !
Great info! Thanks for the video. I just wish the picture quality was better.
This was incredibly helpful. Thank you!
Can the QC send different midi commands within the same preset?
5y later and still an amazing video, thanks for the help man!
Thank you!
Thanks a lot!!! Great video!
That's awesome. You can send midi to turn off the pedal when exiting the QC preset. That's generally how i do it. Add a CC to turn on the effect, add the PC to switch to the desired device preset, and turn off when exiting the QC preset. It's a guaranteed way of making sure the behavior is the same, regardless of whether the peddle was manually bypassed. As for the reason people get a dedicated midi controller? Lots of the time I think you're right, and people just don't know that the QC can do this. I have a dedicated midi controller, and the reason is to increase the functionality of the QC. I'm in the middle of setting it up, so I'm still an absolute newb! But the idea is to use Scenes to select the fundemental tone; clean, acoustic sim, light break up, gain, heavy gain, and lead, for example. then use the midi controller to layer on modulation/pitch/delay/etc. on top of the fundemental tone as needed. My goal is to make just 1 preset that is flexible enough to handle any song. If I get 90% there and use a couple extra dedicated presets for fringe cases, it'll be a success. Thank you for posting this video tutorial! I knew the QC COULD do this, but I didn't know HOW. You made it look so easy. Clear, concise, tutorial.
Really easy to follow thanks
I appreciate I've had my QC 1 year ... still experience a use but huge disappointment in their promises.
Cheers dude perfect
Easier said than done.
the two bolts you said are the hardest, are the ones im having trouble on. you should make a follow up taking those out and getting the bumper actually off!
