Team: Kartmaster Chassis: Tony Kart Racer 401 RR Engine: GP Rok Tyres: Maxxis (Hard) First time trying this with telemetry overlay. This run was on fresh Maxxis hards, a little hard to get used to after Le Vantos. 1 second away from a competitive Rookie Rok Cup time.

Better this time but still some fundamental issues. You have some idea on what to do but making some errors probably from a lack of understanding or technique. Was your neck gone in this session?
It's probably both a lack of understanding AND technique. I don't actually know what to do intuitively (lack of talent), so I need someone to literally show me what I'm doing wrong. My neck is gone every weekend mate. :D

Nice kart. You are reacting too late which is making you turn the wheel way too late as you enter the corners; this makes you miss the apex by quite a bit. You can see this especially in T2, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8. You want to be much, much closer to the apexes of the corners; this will make the time come down by 1-2 seconds very quickly. You have to use all the exits and the entire track on exits as well. You are turning too much on exit which bogs the engine and scrubs speed. Let me know if you have any questions or need any help. Your kart is a rocket though, seems like it is quite underweight.
Thanks so much for the feedback, I've been stuck at this scrub timing for a few months now. I have a rough intuition about what is wrong with my driving, which tracks with what you are saying, but I cannot actually put my finger on it -- at least not as specifically as you have put it. I've been told I'm turning too late, but I still don't know *exactly* what this means; if I turn in earlier it feels like I'll cut the corner. What am I doing wrong? I'm not sure if the kart is underweight, although I am quite a small guy at ~67kg.

@@iantanwx Or you can come look for me at the track probably. Easier to do it there. I have a good lap on my account which can be of use to you. Main thing is to unwind the steering on exit and take wider entries plus a few other things. Can go into more detail at the track.
