Veteran’s deserve to get paid after their service. They signed a blank check when they signed up, they should never be forgotten or questioned about it. My son is a Marine Corps veteran. He gets a disability check and works. Side note, I don’t use stickers either but I’m going to try it. God Bless and thank you for your service.

That, and only that, will create fewer disabled veterans. If you break our bones, amputate our limbs, limit our mental functioning, create permanent damage to our minds and psyches - you need to provide care. All I can dream of is living the life I had hoped and prayed and served to obtain, which is impossible to me.

Veterans need more! Dental and compensation for life! When a veteran gets ill they end up loosing their life insurance because they get sued and end up loosing social security checks that paid the premiums

I know some veterans who were highly paid professionals who took a very big cut in pay when they stoped working because of their service connected disabilities. They could not safely work anymore. The VA made some of them 100% disabled. It’s not about the money!

Can someone explain how MST-PTSD is easier to prove than tinnitus, yet MST-PTSD awards beyong 50% on most claims and tinnitus is generally 10%? Does a veteran trully have a significantly higher liklihood of being sexually assaulted than being exposed to loud noises that induces tinnitus?

I am a Navy vet, and I am getting my benefits. I just recently learned about them because my brother taught me about them. I am getting an 80% rating. I got PSTD from having been in Iraq. I am still working.

One particular political Party is interested in cutting V.A. benefits. BIGLY hint, it's the one that loves to pay lip service to the military and the troops. If you pay attention, more often than not, it's the opposition Party that often fights tooth and nail to secure funding for the troops and veterans. The other Party that merely pays lip service often has to be guilted into actually supporting the troops. Elections have real world repercussions.

Yes, Bush put us into to 2 wars that last 20 years….how many veterans do you think came back with serious disabilities when they, Bush and Trump, never served in war? I stopped going to the VA when they first put stuff in my record that was not true and the other other just wanted to keep tapping my insurance…not getting actual test reports until it was no longer relevant, being Misdiagnosed with 4 serious diseases that I never had and refused to send me to get the “real” test stating “we don’t do that” causing mental and emotional distress. Now, I do not trust any doctor nor will I ever again.

I am 70% unemployable .....which automatically raises me to 100% permanent and total disability. I would have rather worked and retired normally instead of having PTSD, major depression, failed marriage and dealing with the beaurocracy within the VA Healthcare System especially for women. The VA Healthcare System is where l go for care physically and mentally.

But our God and Savior Trump said we veterans are SUCKERS AND LOSERS! He openly attacked the late Sen. John McCain who when he ejected from his fighter broker both his arms and a leg. He landed in the water and worked to stop himself from drowning. Then the locals pulled him out and started to beat him. Then the NVA showed up, beat him more, injured his shoulder and bayonetted. Aka stabbed him. And our God and Savior Trump cried "he didn't even try to DEFEND HIMSELF!" A true Evangelical leader. I say give veterans all the benefits they need and more. They volunteered their lives and we civilians owe it to them.

Thank you for the video. I am an ARNG vet with a 50% disability rating. It took a two year fight to even get them and several injuries were not accounted for. Despite them being sustained during the same incident, I was told that the injuries were not connected... I am employed. My benefits certainly help me and my family but they are by no means enough to live off of. This targeted attack disgusts me.

Fantastic video, Ms. Wendy. Yes, more veterans are claiming benefits. We have been in some type of conflict since 9/11. So many people have done 2 deployments, 4 deployments, and extended deployments. It is going to affect every aspect of our lives whether we notice it or not.

It took me 8 years to get my benefits. Lost a lung and my lower back damaged for life, have to take gabapentin to relieve nerve pain. I started at 10%.

As a lifelong tax paying non-serving person who gets exactly zero of any V.A. benefits, um yea. Still, I do think ALL Americans need to be treated fairly - not just those who happened to be healthy enough to make the choice to serve.

I'm guessing what they don't know is HOW HARD IT IS!!! to receive full benefits!! Im 100%pt w smc-s/medically retired with CRSC. There is able bodies grown adults out there who is milking the welfare system ( off tax payers dime) who probably hasnt paid barely a dime towards the social security system from generation to generation just by laying on their backs. We worked and paid into the system just like everyone else. Our benefits doesnt come from tax payers so if anything they should be looking over there rather than bothering us vets!!!
