lol kart-jacked at gun point, here in NZ it wouldn't be a problem as we have all these cycle way's around the cities which are perfect for karts

The guy in the red helmet actually started that corner on the left side, they hit in such a perfect way that the front right wheel got up onto the other kart, then he essentially drove over him to the other side lol.

That's a question I get a fair amount, I only do it for rental karts, when I'm driving outdoor gas karts, or sim racing I steer like a normal human being. 😁 I sit as close as possible to the steering wheel. If I try to steer normally I feel like I have less range of movement because I end up bending my arms in weird ways to turn fully to one side or the other. The other reason, might be a placebo effect but, I feel like it reduces arm strain. By changing where I place my hands, I get different leverage for turning. I've done multiple all day race events, and it seems like it helped. *shrug* The karts are fast, but not so fast that I haven't had time to get my hands in position for whatever turn was coming up, so it hasn't cost me yet. 😅

na this is a place in Cleveland called Boss Pro Karting. We do have a K1 speed somewhat in the area though.

@@slicklie2566 ya I get it, these gloves were actually my third option because the previous two were sold out. 😅 If you're looking for a place with fun designs, a friend has gloves from this place: gantgloves.com.au I can't speak to their quality, but he hasn't mentioned any problems to me yet.

Nice, that's pretty good! Yeah for sure, if our warmup tonight is on the regular track I'll make a video talking about how I tackle it.

It's just hard to convey the speed I think via video, they go 35-40 mph. We've still had people get concussed and other injuries from the speed. :b

Pretty much the same speed as every other indoor rental place, so compared to outdoor gas karts, yes it's limp mode. :B

Ha, to each their own. I've been to K1 before, and I personally prefer this place. I think all three places in northeast Ohio have different pros and cons, but are all worth racing at. I do plan to make it out to K1 for a league night or two though, it's just a far drive and hard to make my schedule work. Maybe I'll see you there if you go to those!

Yeah frequent problem in rental karts, I've had to develop a strategy to deal with it. :b I use straightaways and pull on the center of the wheel to bring myself back forward.
