    Battle of Montgisard was the most notable battle fought between Baldwin and Saladin where Baldwin despite being a sixteen years old youth afflicted with leprosy and severely outnumbered won. Saladin was almost captured. Hattin was fought 2 years after Baldwin 's death( he died at the age of 23 to 24, most likely from infection caused by untreated wounds which were a result of his leprosy) between his successor Guy and Saladin where the latter won.
