Very innovative! Great job!
Thank you
I built one about 7 years ago. I initially used 1/2 inch mesh hardware cloth but it causes lots of peas to fall through because it is too big. I was able to acquire a piece of 3/8 mesh that beekeepers use to keep mice out and it works better for pinkeye peas and you get very few hulls in the hopper. My beater speed is around 425 rpm. My drum speed is about 125 rpm. I used a 1 hp motor wired for 220 volts and it has plenty of power. I've shelled over 200 lbs of finished product this year already. Good luck with your project. It looks nice.
I’m redesigning the drum now… Thanks for sharing
Thank you for sharing your troubles and the build as a whole. I am subscribed and eagerly awaiting updates.
Thank you for your kind words….
How many American lives could have been saved?.. If we would've went with the FAL or the AR 10 It's kind of like the British caving to the pressure from Islamic part of the world by instituting the 1939 white papers.
Have you tried it out yet? We just bought a used one for our acre peas and zipper peas. It has the half inch hardware cloth and the hulls fall right through. Thinking about finding something smaller in hole size.
I have the half inch cloth on the drum but I have the 1/4 inch to sift the chaff…. I’m running it Monday to find out what problems it might have….the 1/4 inch cloth is set at 45 degrees from Bach side to front side…. This is supposed to hold back the chaff and allow the peas to funnel to the catch tray…. I’ll post the results Tuesday….
I’m gonna plant zipper cream next week….
Well, my pea sheller was a bust. It did the same thing yours did. Gonna take a look at drum designs and try again soon.
I love your work. Can you help? where can I get copper tacks? and what size do you use?

There are two sizes I use from the home store the no 1.5 and the no 2
@@SFC51 Thank You

By carving idols? 😔
It’s not an idol….i don’t worship the carving. I just enjoy woodworking… So sorry you don’t understand. I’ll remember you in my prayers
That's cool ..on my generator I have to use a ratchet strap because the pull start cover broke
This was a really great build, Mr. Archie.
In the Army we have Basic training not bootcamp that's a navy and marine Corp term..I'm a very proud Infantry soldier and I went thru basic training...Vince g 11b Infantry
Hi Vince. At least I hope you understand what I was trying to convey here. In 1970, we called it boot camp as well as basic training. I served as well, IMS out of Ft Bragg. 05B2S Commo chief. Thankyou for your service and your comments. Im sure that it will help my content improve. And thanks for watching….. Airborne All The Way
This video was taken when I was going thru basic training in 1970
Nice
Thanks
Beautiful place you have. Wow you must’ve worked your butt off your whole life. Definitely worth it
sometimes its a curse to have big hands
That’s one heck of a driveway geez
That’s one heck of a little kit right there! I think they thought of everything. Nice kit! Thanks for sharing
Holy smokes it really is way up
To be that beautiful lucky to have that kind of place. God bless you
Wow incredible!! So cool you can do that on your own. That’s fantastic sir. Man the stuff you can do with that
Thanks 👍
I hope I get around like you you do when I’m older. Shoot I wish I got around as much as you do know lol
I didn’t know you still had that corvette.
Would like to sell it….. $6000 if you know someone that would like it
@@SFC51 I’ll put the word out.
I’m still livin’ the dream!
I'm pretty sure that would have been a totally different experience with a Marine DI.

Fascinating. Did you learn as you were building or do you have prior experience/a background in this kind of thing?
No experience. Just determination. I have a desire to know how things work
Looks like a good way to hurt yourself. Portable stove at Walmart....$10.
I need a new sealer, I think my heat strip is going bad. Right now I've been vacuum sealing all my dry pasta noodles, dry beans, rice, etc into Mason jars.
You sure showed him😂
Love ur Shaker box videos,, i make these,, i have Facebook group, i want to tech this process up,,
I only recently got back to making them. I’m just glad I haven’t forgotten. I’ll post more soon
Perfect. Cycle it thru every few years?
That stock is awesome
4lbs must be nice to carry through the woods. Back before optics lights and lasers made your rifle weigh 12lbs.
Most shots around here, when deer hunting, are less than 40 yards. No need for optics…😊
Really neat rifle👍
Feels like I'm there. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching
That really is beautiful. I could see taking it down to one ince cuts about a foot long and making cutting board to hand out for Christmas.
I make most anything with the wood I cut
Was introduced to this channel by a knife giveaway. This is first video ive watched after subscribing. Archie reminds ME of my papaw 'God rest his soul '.
That's true but I could care less about weight and more about round size. The person you're up against, could have a rifle. Could have armor. Could be behind concealment. Etc. I'd rather have a 5.7, or 9mm plus. 5.7, 45, 10mm preferred.
Thanks
Glock for edc. in situations no safety switch to mess with or grip safety to grip improperly. In a hot situation just point and squeeze.
Thanks for the view
I like that, think about yourself first but still thinking bout the other guy
At this point I'm going to need a gas powered job box as a bugout bag..
Pick and choose what’s best for you
For survival don’t take: matches, lighter, flint or any fire making tools, don’t take water filters, knife, rope, don’t take first aid kit but please do take “indispensable” auger bit.🫣
Use what works best for you
I'm going to drill a hole in the tree to make.a.chair 🤔 I best go check on my square eggs
Wish you luck with that
I agree.
👍
Not even going to demonstrate how to use it? Not going to show how one end makes a mortise and the other makes the matching tenon? Okay.
Thanks
That looks like a high-speed (i.e. for electric drill) augur welded to a piece of pipe. I would really like to see some examples of it being used in practice as it would appear to me that using it would be an exercise in frustration.
If you try to use it as is, it would definitely be a work out, but to use it properly you would put a metal rod or pipe through the eye of the auger/hand drill to make it much easier to turn
They work wonders. Good for using to make a fire log as well
Noted
Now you’re thinking
@@inventorsandmechanicsunite7345 I did assume that the welded on eyelet was there to accommodate a handle of some sort. Augurs designed for high speed (as opposed to the old style used in a brace) are very inefficient at low speeds. Turning it directly (with a handle) will be a lot slower than even using a brace. I understand the theory, but I would like to see it in practice to see if it is worth making as a spade bit is cheaper and easier to make in the field.
Where do i find one of these hand augers? Also what are the most useful uses? I can see clearly that it will bore holes and be hammered down into a log to make a dowel, but what's the best way to turn that ability into a shelter or abutting else?
Bushcraft survival multifunction tool from TEMU…. About $12. Can be used to drill and peg logs together much like timber framing.
Also from Amazon
Can we get this man to 1milll likes
