Joyo Ultimate Drive (Fulltone OCD Clone) Demo
This is a demo video of the Joyo Ultimate Drive. It's a clone of the Fulltone OCD circuit, and it lists for about $30. It's a great sounding pedal that can cover everything from light Overdrive to full-on Distortion. It also has a HP/LP (HighPass/LowPass) toggle which increases either Bass or Treble.
For this video I'm using my trusty Squier Bullet Mustang with the stock humbuckers, into the Joyo Ultimate Drive then into my Positive Grid Spark practice amp. I'm actually using one of the ACOUSTIC amp models to get the cleanest, flattest response I can get, so what you're hearing is JUST the pedal. I'm filming with my android phone with a small condenser mic plugged into the headphones port....

Attempting "Nervous Breakdown" by Brad Paisley

This is just a lil video of me trying to play "Nervous Breakdown" by Brad Paisley. The only way I could do it was to learn it INCREDIBLY SLOWLY with a metronome and gradually speed it up. This is currently as fast as I can get it; Around 130 bpm or so, but it's MUCH faster, lol...

This is The Budget King's Honest Pedal Demo of the J.H.S. HARD DRIVE. Here I'm showing how JHS' HARD DRIVE sounds when used into a CRYSTAL CLEAN amplifier. I'm using my trusty Squier Bullet Mustang into the HARD DRIVE, then directly into my Positive Grid Spark Practice amp. I'm using one the ACOUSTIC amplifier models to get the FLATEST, CLEANEST response possible. I recorded this demo on my pho...

This is just a lil demo video for the Demon Fx R3 (Revv 3 Clone) pedal. I'm using my trusty Squier Bullet Mustang and my Positive Grid Spark amp. I'm using a small condenser mic plugged into my phone so you can hear how it actually sounds in the room. I got the R3 from Reverb.com and it was about $45. Seems like a nice lil high gain pedal, but honestly it's probably TOO much gain/distortion for...

I'm using an ACOUSTIC amp model for a "flat" clean sound to show how the pedals ACTUALLY sound. As always, "THANK YOU SO MUCH!" For watchin! -BK/CK
"Bob Marley Medley" (Acoustic) By Christian Key

This is an acoustic version of a medley of songs that was recorded by my friend and "Studio Guru", Dewayne Henson. That guy never fails to bring out the best in people, and he's an amazing friend who got a killer sound out of just me and an old Epiphone acoustic guitar.

I just buy fender necks
Well said! And to all the whining below You're counterfeiting... No excuses
Do you nede a hug or something?
Aight grandpa i think its time for you to take your pills
Been making some tribute decals called YourMomcasters!
"us squire fans" ... LOL ... you and the other guy
When im dead im not going to give two shits. I think you need to relax a bit and stop worrying about such a first world issue Karen.
I always replace my Fender decals with Squire decals.
Decide? Why? They BOTH sound Great and "better" in different ways. I guess it just depends on the mood of the guitar part in a song and maybe how it sits in a mix. I would definitely keep them both since the Ultra Metal is undoubtedly an A+ (Metal Zone) and the TM sounds very nice and Deep too but you probably really know how to handle that EQ there I'll bet to make them sound extra perfect.
Jesus Christ. You ok!? Like I’ve never heard someone bitch about something so stupid. I have only played Parker guitars over the past 30 years besides my no name brand starter guitars. Never so much as played a squier or fender. I don’t see the appeal either. I personally don’t even know the difference between the two. I just know that fender costs more money. Besides that, they’re the most base model plain Jane looking guitars that look the same from the 50s or whenever til 2025. But to each their own. If someone is doing it to scam someone then ok that’s fucked up. But besides that, who cares? I see people put Acura emblems on their Hondas all the time. I don’t think too much about it. I might laugh and then go about my day. I don’t know or care if they are insecure. I don’t get mad and say it has to stop. I’m sure there are Plymouth neons with dodge emblems. Again, who cares? Don’t be such a guitar snob. I never see someone’s guitar and think differently of them as a person or player..and I’m the kind of guy who probably wouldn’t know the difference anyway..but if I did..don’t care. Again, if you’re trying to scam someone, get fucked. If it’s a tribute guitar or you can’t afford a fender and slapping a logo on it makes you feel better about it for whatever reason, go for it.
If a Squire was good enough for Jeff Healy, it's good enough for me.
I can't be seen with a squier where can i get a slide decal !!!!
i got more fender parts on my squier than actual squier parts lol
Fender, Squire, Jackson, EVH are are all the same company so if you put a fender logo on a a squire you are still repping Fender so I have no issue with it. What I do have an issue with is famous people playing fender or gibson designs made by other companies (knock offs) after they are famous and can afford the real thing or to mod how they please. The original settlement allowing other brands to copy the body shapes was WRONG --- it's like letting chevy make Mustangs. Individual dorking around as a hobby can do as they please IMO, selling a fake is already fraud. Crying over some kids having fun with their toys is stupid. The real issue, if you care about the companies is the fake inport stuff on top of losing the rights to their surperior designs ---- absolute insult to injury. With that said, if you are a rock star and broke, I think if you play a fake on stage and nobody knows you are repping the brand as apposed to playing an ESP LP or something. . I have nothing against ESP, in fact I love them, I"m just saying if you are famous and want to rep ESP then play an ESP design.
I put a squier decal on my glarry strat
@5:20 you FINALLY nailed it. The necks! I found an E9***** black SN in Candy Apple, a bit beat up, for $50 and grabbed it. And yes, the neck rivals my Fender Elite Compound neck with its pitch black Ebony fretboard. Unlike yours, the bridge and trem block were full-size vintage. All I did was install a Tusq nut, new tuners, and built a new scratchplate with a 'real' 5-way switch and the Fender Vintage Noiseless pickup set that come with 2 1M and 1 500K pots . . . so, for $330 all in I built the equivalent of a $1300 American Deluxe . . . I'd sell it for $500 or $600, but I'd keep the E9 neck and slap on a very nice Squier Indonesian neck I have on a shelf. I'd never sell that E9 neck.
Bro, i dont have a dog in this race bc i ride with ibanez, but wtf do you care what other people do with their guitars?? Like seriously, get over it and play with your own shit and do whatever you want with your shit and let others what they wanna do with theirs. And just so you know, squiers are made by fender, licensed by fender, and built by fender. So guess what they are? A FUCKING fender.
The same type people who have a fake Rolex watch. And a China Les pual. I would rather be a Karen, than a poser!
What a joke this video Is..bravo LOL
Bro no...NOOOOOO...like...NO...STOP ASKING BRO...🎉❤🎉 LOVE MY SQUIER...LOVE IT...
If I were to put a Fender logo on a Squire, I'd just leave the Squire serial number on the back. That way, it will come back as a Sqire model.
No
Whinge , whinge whinge. Do I detect a little PMS in the post................
You should add a IR cab to the um300
I like Squier as much as the next guy... BUT... When they send you to war to defend freedom. If you ever find out you were used to pirate oil for the rich. You won't give a sh!t. Edit To be honest, I don't know why anyone would buy a Fender at all.
I was thinking of building a partscaster and adding a Funder decal. Maybe Tender. Femder. Fander. Famder.
@@potato9832 ALL are hilarious and 100% cool with me, lol... I vote "Funder"...
What would your asking price be to transcribe this into tabs? I'd like to study the original theme, but options are quite limited.
@@rhythmmmmm. Well, I don't know if I COULD tab it out, but it's really not THAT difficult... I could probably show you how to do it in about 3 minutes, lol...
Ought to be ashamed. Selling out to Fender. Be a proud Squier player. 😅
@@dontajones2220 I agree with ya, hoss... I've been a diehard Squier fanatic since '97, lol...
I'm addin this comment because inevitably SOMEONE will notice my goofy, unworking finger and ask: About 12 years ago I was cleaning up the breakfast buffet at the hotel that I worked at when I dropped a glass orange juice pitcher into a ceramic sink. The pitcher broke, bounced up and JUST barely nicked the flexor tendon in my left (fretting) middle finger. I needed stitches and at the E.R. evidently they THOUGHT that it was only a "superficial" cut, so they sewed me up, splinted it, bandaged it and sent me home. 2 weeks later when the stitches came out, my finger wouldn't bend, and THAT'S when I found out that I had cut my flexor tendon. Unfortunately, it was too late to correct it or do anything about it. I really did think my musical life was over. Up to that point I played music EVERY day. Got super depressed, but couldn't bring myself to put my guitars away. Then one day I got REALLY disgusted looking at my unplayed guitar in the corner, snatched it up and went to put it up forever. BUT, I decided to TRY to play it "one last time"; Long story short, I wasn't QUITE as screwed as I THOUGHT I was, and I was still able to play a little bit. So I just started trying different things and alternate ways to finger chords. That was 12 years ago, and believe it or not, I'm FAR better now than I EVER was BEFORE my accident. HONESTLY, if I COULD go back and prevent that accident, I don't think I would. It FORCED me to do things DIFFERENTLY and find my OWN, unique style. All I can say is that I firmly believe that EVERYTHING happens for a reason... Even if we don't see it at the time... So, smile, and hang in there... YOU might not be QUITE as screwed as YOU think either, lol... -Christian
God bless America. Land of the Free. Show us on the guitar where the decal hurt you.
@@JayBirdGuitars Right on the headstock, sir, lol...
I have 3 Squiers and I Love them. Classic Vibe 60's Squier Strat, Squier Telecaster 70's Thinline, 40th Squier Anniversary Telecaster. I've played along side of Fender's of these 3 and cannot tell them apart with my eyes closed. Squiers are really good guitars!!!!!
Very good Chris. This is your bud Mike from the Detroit area. I forgot that you can do some hybrid picking!!! Man, I wish I was coordinated enough to pull that off. Sounds so good combining those low picked notes with the high finger picking. Sweet! 👍
Hey Mike! Thanks, man. I appreciate it! You just gotta keep at it, practice and it'll come! I avoided hybrid and finger pickin FOREVER cause "I couldn't do it", lol... You've just got to start SUPER slow, practice with a metronome, and speed it up... You can do it!
This whole topic just pisses me off. Pro players don't care what name is on a headstock. I am so over this topic that I just might sand off my Fender logo and put a Squier logo on it.
@@markcaserta1367 I'm sick of the whole thing too, hoss, lol... Sounds like you know what you're talkin about, and confident enough in yourself that you don't have to hide behind any certain brand, lol... I mean, people probably wouldn't complain as much, but technically it'd be just as wrong, lol...
FOR REAL ?
Una de las combinaciones ganadoras en una sola caja! Me encanta cómo suenan! 🤩🎸🎼
Dude lay off the red bull.. This pedal gets you All Right Now Kossoff Plexi 100 lead easy.
It doesn't matter. Quit being so serious about it.
You've got the right to your opinion I've got the right to mine
That's really good!
love my '89 korea strat/ all stock/ great video and enjoyed your playing demo
I always put Gibson logos on my squiers
HAHAHAHAHAHHA!!! Good one!😄
I think to buy Two Pedal Tube Amp Modeller. So you Can have one pedal for Clean or Little Distorsion and other pedal you can have Lead Dirtorsion. So with two pedal you can have Many Many possibility of combination of Sounds🎉😊
I've done just for fun, and ready to do again with a new Tele in a week for cosmetic purposes only because squier name would never look as great as a fender name. No big deal, if anyone wants to buy a fender they should first get the guitar fully inspected, you know there are parts inside that will tell you if is a squier or fender. No more drama please.
Thanks for posting this info!! Excellent
Lame!
Hi there from Italy. I've been playing guitars a lot: classical guitars (nylon strings), dreadnought (i have a Sigma from the eighties given me from a friend's father which sounds great), and electric. I bought a Standard Fender Stratocaster made in U.S.A. in 2008, i was young and wanted "the real thing" back then, and i still love it and play it. Today i bought my first Squier, a second hand telecaster model, because i wanted to own and play another Leo Fender invention, but at a reasonable price (i'm getting wiser with time). Your video is honest and impeccable in it's logic, at least to me. I wouldn't underestimate the power of logos and appereance when performing on stage (for some bands/artists actually looks like it's their main concern, and sometimes sounds like it's the only one). Also i think this matter differs if you are a rookie or an experienced player, or from another country. For example: when i was younger i felt legitimate having and playing a fender made in america, as a prestige thing, for which i sweated a lot of money to purchase. Today i'm older and more expert, and can spot a quality instrument (always talkin about factory made instruments), so i'm happy with Squier too, and my playing also got better. Still i believe things should be called each by its own name, otherwise it gets confusing. Personally, i always hated logos and brands, so if i had to customize the headstock, i would just make it blank and let the guitar do the talk, or i would put a "Squirter" decal just for fun and because it's a beautiful piece of female guitar. But i'll just keep it as it is, and maybe sell the fender since i feel a little robbed by looking at it now
Look mommy, I’m a hero!!! Lol 😂😂😂 Yes dude, you are. Stop crying
If you didnt own a squier yourself, you probaby wouldnt care😂
Went out to a pawn shop the other day and saw strat style guitar hanging on the wall without a headstocks label upon looking closely could still barely see squire still they were about to change the logo I guess and backed out.
A squier is a fender guitar. It says right on the headstock. 😅
