Hiking up one of the largest dunes in Erg Chebbi was challenging, but going down made it all worth while. If you look closely, you could see our camp, which is directly above the camp with the white tent (top left in the screen). The Moroccan Sahara right after sunrise. Shot November 2011.

Masha allaha

That's how I was taught to do it in Tamanrasset.
Baber in the north but the arabs in the sud
Along side protection from the sun this is helpful because desert insects try to fly in your mouth/nose because of the moisture
Beautiful..... 🥰😍♥️
French tourists driving with their Quads having fun WOW
Algiers, its France!!
JazakAllah fantastic
masha Allah
No i want it like the guy himself both sides same and symmetrical
So cute to watch the elder aid the youths, both with much joy in that experience 😊
Full on Lawrence of Arabia style! This reminds me of what desert nomads would wear as opposed to what I've seen on modern Arabs and such.
@Scott B, Arabs do not veil themselves like that, you clearly did not read the title.
This is in the Sahara, they’re Amazigh not Arab
tell me please wich material is best and dimension in Cm or M for tie this. I hope u answer me
Appx 34 feet by 30 inches, lightweight cotton. However it varies considerably. Depends on region and culture
أهم شيء اني حصلت عربي هنا
Nice
It is not Berber!!! It belongs to arabian culture!!!
Berber is arab
حبيب الكل No it is not. They view themselves as a counter people.
ladyessi أنا عربي و أعلم
the berber is not arabe and the turban is persian originally
Afghan Lion Pretty much everyone in the desert wore it in their own way to protect themselves from the sun Why are u so triggered? Turbans are a very logical thing to put on in the desert Arabs wore it for more than three thousand years They wore it way before islam Plz stop being such a triggered idiot
Where is this located?
jodawgsup Oh okay! Thanks
Sorry but what it is the length and breadth of the fabric to be fine turban

What is the name for the man's head wear? thanks
Cuyler Bleecker keffiyeh
No the cloth is not thick material... Besides in the desert a slightly strong wind will send barrage of sand on ur face, so they need protection from that too
Lightsaber?? Did you get to see a different video than the rest of us?? o.O
LIKE if you said: "Wooow" aloud at the exact same moment she did! XD
Lovely masha'Allah
Good job well done magnifico!
what is the head wear called that the man in blue and white is wearing??
Actually they wear all that stuff BECAUSE of the sunshine. if you don't dress well, the sunshine can cause health problems to you :) this is why usually in the Desert, people cover to the maximum.
Love it, thanks for sharing :-)
I know this is not applicable, but I love the light saber, very Tatooine. ;)
@halflife103 This clothing actually keeps you cool. It is very light. And when exposed to as much direct sunlight as you get in the desert, you have to cover your skin well like this or you will get horribly burned.
I was about to say this is as much of a cultural thing as it is an "I don't want severe sunburn" thing the Berber/Tuareg people are literal badasses because they k ow how to not only survive but thrive in one of if not the harshest lands in the world
I think it's cause Turkish are hairy and they usually have hairy ears so they do this.
What i don't understand is how they can wear all that clothing and not be hot?. Would it not be cooler without all of it?. I just can't figure it out....
Loose clothes turn down body temperature and protect them from sunburn
@thedinerza It's difficult. A keffiyeh is a square shape and then it becomes pretty thick if you try to make it into a rectangle. There are other techniques that will give you a nice looking turban like this but it's more difficult than using a scarf in my opinion.
@maleahjo1 The scarf is nice. Where can I find one? I live in Chicago.
Can this be done with a keffiyeh?
