You’re so right Bob, I’ve been saying for years too that’s there’s a real lack of decent engineers in our industry. My son Robbie is leaving school next year and he has expressed an interest in working alongside me and learning from me. I’m hoping that the government step in soon and do something towards the energy costs that our industry is being faced with. I’m fortunate that I have a couple of young lads, Rhys and Owen and we’ve been doing lots on heat and energy systems that can and do reduce waste. We also have been working with Elis Davies at JT Systems and we’re looking new smart plump controls, the savings are excellent from these, often dropping 7 to 8kwph from the running costs. We’re also now offering smart dryer controls too, which are fully programmable and reduce all the motor energy requirements too.
