That was a beautiful rendition! That is my favorite part from the 1999 version of "Annie". I thought it was touching and emotional when Grace Farrell (Audra McDonald) went over to comfort the heartbroken Annie (Alicia Morton) before she leaves with the so-called Mudges. Poor Annie much rather be adopted by Daddy Warbucks than move away with the Mudges. I wish other adaptations would show that moment between Grace and Annie more often. You should sing it in theatre as Grace Farrell. You have the perfect singing voice for the role!

Oh Lauren, you are so kind and I TOTALLY agree! Hands down the best moment in that entire film. Audra is a goddess. (And I actually have been lucky enough to have played Grace twice on stage, and I always wish they would throw that scene in there haha). Take care and thanks so much for your comment! <3

That is amazing that you had the role of Grace Farrell in theatre. It’s too bad that they didn’t include Grace’s reprise, you would’ve nailed it. I agree that Audra is goddess! And thanks, I hope you are doing well as well!
