They have been treading the boards for many many years , and just seem to get better and better as the years roll on . sad to hear of the death of Gerry , as he worked at Gordon simpsons music shop at the west end of the city for years , and I think he must have sold a guitar to most folkies when they were upgrading , or maybe to get strings and plectrums etc . had the pleasure of having Colin mckenzie out for a memorial that we had for BILL PURVES the renowned blind banjo / guitar / mandolin / fiddle/ and any other things that were lying about .anyway that was at a farmhouse near the cockatoo in millerhill , and needless to say we were playing until dawn , and Colin played for hours on end , and played anything that was asked of him some man .it was also great to see the old troubadour Ali Watson when the band played Western Australia not far from Perth. sadly Ali died not long after that from cancer …….muleskinner blues was a favourite he sang with great authority up in the royal terrace hostilries …….great days……..

That's truly a long road. Didn't know you've lost so many quite young friends on the way... I hope you keep going on so i can see you again one day!
