Why lugnut torque is ultra important
lug nut torque does play an impact on the wear pattern of your pads and rotors.
uneven torque values across your lugs could have a drastic impact on brake NVH and over all life span

buying a car? perception is reality
Просмотров 133 года назад
hey! buying a car? is it bright and shiny and has almost no damage and everything looks like it's been deliberately well maintained? chances are it is a decent car. but beware, if the car you're looking at looks rough but "ohh the engine is good" rings out from your seller, take caution. if they weren't willing to do the work for some stuff they definitely didn't do the major stuff

i want to put this on my car and tell people to study Bitcoin
My god bro. I just want to say for an idiot like myself and I was absolutely no idea how the f*** engine works this s*** was so simplistic and helpful thank you so much bro Love this video
Thanks for the video in regards to an Equus. First time seeing it because most vids show a Genesis even tho it’s the same motor. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I followed everything to a t but instead wired the power to my cigarette lighter? It has power but my siren isn’t making any sound? I matched up wires and everything?
The 2011 Genesis has the same plastic housing. I over torqued that on accident and it sprayed oil everywhere. That was not a very good day.
"we have got a small friend...WE WILL NEED THE BLESSING FROM THIS ONE.". This was hilarious, did Mr Cat give you any blessings to you?? Heeheehee! 😁
Super informative! A little long but cant contain so much info in a short vid so i get it! Great job thanks
This is why I advise people put a mark (white nail polish works well) on the housing lined up with a mark on the filter housing - that way, when tightening, you'll know when to stop when tightening.
You still have this Equus? Do more repair videos, very little content on RUclips for this car
Hack
Yikes cheap oil and filter..but thanks for the video..and I like cat...
The quality of sound coming out of the system is not impressive to me. I wonder what brands have higher fidelity
In europe most police, fire engines, ambulances, government vehicles use csr or tmr. These brands are turkish. I have hooked these systems to many cars they work flawlessly, but i have no clue if they will ship to the states.
@@mehmetalicebi2384 I don't need sirens, just the pa
Why are you using a cheap filter you're not using a mobile one or a wix seems odd to me this is why I don't bring my car to a shop to get an oil change done low quality Parts because it's the easiest way for people to make money also in a GDI motor you're definitely want to change your oil every 3000 miles use good oil use a good filter maybe an oil additive personally I like Lucas but to each their own if they want to add one or not the filter is the main thing along with a quality oil just seems kind of weird to me
While I agree and I am using Mobil 1 FS Right meow, a 3 oz per quart dose of motor kote and Mobil 1 20k filter. I definitely had to shoot this video after work and my oil didn't come in time 😅 GDI engine will always deposit on your intake valves so either way that's always gonna be a worry. Gonna have to media blast my runners here soon so I'll be posting that video.
The shop cat was the best part of the video 🤣🤣😂🐱 screw the oil change. I just let my Equus run dry😁👍
Should fill and check for leaks before you put pan back on

What a weirdo... And don't forget to add water
I just bought an Equus. Can you make a transmission fluid change on this vehicle?
Lemme get on that cause I recently hit my severe service table tranny fluid change
Its that normal that the level of oil was low ? My engine have around 60000miles or 100000km
My 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee is pushing 200K with not one tranny issue to date. Of course I change it's fluid every 20 thousand or so miles with a generous dose of Lucas additive (my 900KW got a hair over 1 million miles with it so now it's in my Jeep). I'm assuming this video refers only from shifting on the move from drive to reverse, right? Coming down Pikes Peak say, you'd almost have to drop an automatic from drive to 2nd or low to avoid glazing the brake pads. Whenever it's necessary for me to do this, just as I push the shift lever out of drive, I give the accelerator pedal a little goose to get the 2nd gear planetaries to syncronize with the higher speed so there's no jarring clunk. But, common sense would indicate that shifting from a forward drive mode to a backward reverse is just asking for a substantial repair bill down the road. Modern tranny's are built really well these days, but not that well to take such prolonged mistreatment. Remember the old oil filter commercial "Pay me now or pay me later"?
Dam
Bro everyone needs to see this
Not true. Same as holding on a hill without the brakes. The vehicle coasting in to drive from reverse puts less strain on it than a spirited half-throttle launch from a stop sign. Further, the torque converter has no idea that the wheels aren’t spinning because you’re on a hill or because the brakes are holding the wheels. By that ruhtarded logic, holding the car stopped with the brakes is just as bad. Even further, drifting thru the torque converter (i.e. rolling backwards down a hill) in drive is also less strenuous than stomping on the throttle and putting 400ft pounds of torque thru it from a stop. None of that will hurt a trans, nor will a burnout since you’re just stalling the TC.
Bro, I jam my truck from D to R and back a hundred times a day, it's got over 30k miles since I bought it this spring, gear slam doesn't kill transmissions, shitty solenoids and not changing the fluid and filter does.
Nah just keep doing that and failure will happen an it will probably happen when the fluid get serviced. a keen eye will see it in the filter if its stuffed up with friction material and or metal powder
Same lol. I’ll bet he puts out a video saying hard shifts in an auto is bad too 😂😂. But the only thing that will kill an auto is low/no fluid and heat. Watch a neutral drop video with the Grand Cherokee; spinning all 4 at redline shifting from drive to reverse each time with over 250000 miles on it. People are just ignorant lol.
Lol.. you really think being rough on your car isn't gonna help damage the trans quicker than just being patient? K..
Well, 30k isn't much as far as milage goes. The wear that's happened already will for sure get you before 100k. The statement about fluid /filter changes is dead on accurate tho. The simple heat related degradation of the fluid is something most can't even conceive of, add to it the microscopic particles of metal and clutch plate contaminants. A filter can only catch as much as it was designed to.
@@markk3652 it has over 200k total, I'm saying I've heard dropped it for the last 30k, as long as you're not flying backwards at 30mph the torque converter absorbs the drag, that's what it's there for, I'm a certified mechanic, you're not going to win this argument
I’ve know how engines work for like ever but the is a really good why of explaining just what the piston does. Good job.
Nice
People don't do this
Where did u hook up the positive wire too?
Most important part not shown😅
Bro hook it up to the positive terminal on the battery, it already has a fuse……… thought that was implied 😂
You forgot to take out that black hex head bolt before the oil filter to drain it out to save all the spillage when removing the oil filter just an FYI.
I don't use that port. Just take out the filter housing slowly
Why so much whispering? I thought it was ASMR for a sec
I would like more maintainance videos on Equus, I have one. Thanks.
Why're you whisperin, goddamn
Can you make a video how to hook a PA horn up to auxiliary and make it loud like so I can play stuff through my phone
I'd recommend getting one with a standard 3.5mm auxillary audio jack, rather than trying to make one without it work
Not dying a fiery death sounds good to me too 🤪😅😅
Great video. A little long but had all the info I needed for my Equus.
“Butt load of plugs”
Excellent video, Andy! One minor nitpick - it's a good idea to lubricate the filter o-ring before install (although it picks up oil as you roll it into place).
I use syl lube to lubricate o rings same as on an airplane works better than oil..
Don't use oil use silicone lube same as on an airplane o ring for oil..👍
Keep it up man you’re doing great
Good video bro clear and to the point. Use your phone and record you audio
Do my truck headlights bro! Lol very cringey like you said but good video lol
