My older cousin was sixteen when her sister was born. When she and her boyfriend would walk around town with her baby sister, people from school saw them and were shocked. They said they never knew she was pregnant and that she had carried so well.

When I was about sixteen or seventeen, my twelve year old cousin and I were babysitting out 1.5 year old cousin while my aunt was shopping. I took the kids to get pizza and to walk around another store. The stroller I was using had two seats. Everyone assumed I was my baby cousin's mom and just thought he was so cute. They never said anything about my age and also asked where his sibling was. Everyone was so nice and when we got pizza, the girl behind the counter offered to cut up his pizza for him.

An odd thing here is since their dad is the minister of the local church, The Camden’s are well known in Glen Oak (the town/city this takes place in) so shouldn’t they have known who she was and that those WERE her brothers?

I laugh at this so hard cuz she raised in a family that go to church n the dad is the priest oh lucky how you cracked me up I miss this show

Even if Lucy were the mother, society should mind their own business. It's basically saying that the child(ren) shouldn't have been born, and I'm not trying to encourage teen pregnancy, but if the baby's already born then you should have no place judging them. How do you think that would affect the child when they're older? Would if your mother had you at a young age and people judged her for having you at the age she did? People can't help how they're born, but at least they're into the world.

Why would these people think Lucy is their mother they are so rude they have no right to talk her in that way.

If I was that Teenage girl I’d pop that old lady in the mouth for basically calling me or my mom a slut or thinking it and she needs to mind her fucking business like seriously a 16 year-old girl can’t be nice to look after her baby siblings without people thinking she is a damn Teen mom the damn dirty nerve of some people! To be honest, Lucy being a teenage mom wouldn’t be the first thing to come to my mind. I first would think she’s a sibling.

When i was 16 i took my 2 yr old brother to Mcdonalds to play in the playground (yes this was AWHILE ago) while he played i studies chem. Some lady came up and started asking me a whole bunch of questions. She said "i think its so awesome you kept him" thats when i realized she thought i was his mom. At least she was nice about it

When I was 28 and pregnant with my 2nd baby I was at the gym and an elderly lady there asked if I was pregnant. I said yes I am and also told her I also had a 1 year old at home and she laid into me "how dare you? You're what 18, 19? And this is your 2ND baby?? Let me guess you're also on the government till right?" How embarrassed she was when I set her straight that I was a 28 year old married woman. She did apologize and then ran to the locker rooms. I never saw her again

I guess people never heard of siblings and babysitters. People are so ridiculous

When I was a toddler, I grew up with 2 brothers and 6 sisters. People thought that my older sisters were my parents. But nope, there my sisters. I have 8 full - blooded siblings, I am very grateful to grow up in a big family. There was no regret.

She's not the first she won't be the last. I am pretty sure I was mistaken for a teenage mother once too as I always took my nephew out for a walk.

I had something similar happen back when i was 16. I was walking and watching my 2 year old nephew, he is my oldest brothers kid who was 27 then lol. But anyways ppl were saying "U have a 2 year old at 16?" I was like its my nephew nosey prick who cares?
