Marconi developed wireless telegraphy. Radio, Wireless in England, began with the first broadcast of speech and live music by Canadian born Reginald Aubrey Fessenden at Brant Rock Mass. The date December 24th 1906. Fessenden played his Violin and narrated his broadcast which according to some accounts included playing records. He signed off wishing everyone listening a Merry Christmas. And thus began the radio age. A Canadian working in America broadcasts first. And thus it was and ever will be.
