After sleeping overnight on the couch I wake up the next morning with lots of snuggles and evolving strategies from Murphy our three year old American Brittany. Apparently I can’t get out of bed fast enough for him.

Watch as Jesse and I embark on another weekend Kayak camping trip on Boone Lake in North East Tennessee. You will want to watch this to the end! The craziest experience ever! Also Jessie’s largest fish ever caught! Three days and two nights of beautiful perfect weather.

Join Jessie and I as we take our kayaks out for a Little rainbow trout fishing trip on South Holston river below South Holston Dam. It was Jessie‘s first time using a flyrod. We see many more trips in our future!

On this trip, by bestie Ashley and I were forced to have a change of plans after a night of heavy rains made plan A impossible. But it was well worth it as we found three local waterfalls, only accessible by boat/kayak. We also saw lots of birds again, several ospreys and herons but the largest surprise was the floating "brains" we discovered!

Murphy knows how to cheer one up. He asked if he could go to the lake a swim today, of course I said yes.

I took Murphy, our American Brittany (spaniel) on his first hike on the Appalachian trail in the beautiful Cherokee National Forest. We encountered no one on this day hike as we flirted with impending thunderstorms. No bear sightings but we did find bear scat on the trail. It's lush forests were beautiful and we are already planning a trip back!

Join Jessica and I on a 3 day 2 night kayak camping trip on Fort Patrick Henry Lake in Kingsport Tennessee. We leave Friday after work and head straight to campsite #1 where we set up quickly and eat supper, where a soon approaching storm results in us hunkering down for the evening. Join me on my first solo overnight kayaking adventure as I race against thunderstorms to find my campsite along the South Fork of the Holston River. On this trip, I loaded up the Pelican Rebel 100XR for a little Memorial Day trip where wildlife was around every turn... herons, owls, turkeys, coyotoes and more. Beautiful sun set and a magical sunrise on a foggy morning.
