Check the neighbours by "sh CDP nei". Could be possible that same MAC on two different interfaces.

Hi Yusuf, Please check for the cdp neighbors using command "sh cdp neighbors", you might see the identical MAC address is tagged with two different interfaces. This could also resolve the issue.

Metric is the weight or in simple words "priority" of the route. Lower metric having high weightage.

Having a VM exposed directly to internet could be using Firewall (NAT). There could be many ways to expose VM to internet it depends on requirement and infrastructure.

@@timflannery3060 - LOL!!!! Actually, in my case it was literally an issue on the switches. I'm using Ruckus ICX 7150's and all I had to do was regenerate the ciphers and then putty was able to connect. Found that out through trial and error though. Not this video although I'm sure the solution here works for some folks.

Hi, No, re-imaging does not require to reboot the ASA Unit, but ensure the traffic should be stopped to SFR before re-imaging to avoid issues. Also, you could stop the SFR monitoring. Refer the article for more details => edledge.com/unwanted-asa-failover-due-to-sfr-error/
