Testing the fire fighting pump after a service
Просмотров 3339 месяцев назад
This pump came with the house when we purchased it several years ago. The tank had become very rusty and fouled the carburettor. This was replaced in service but otherwise, it was in good running order. The house is a 50m hose. The tank the system is attached to isn't very big so you wouldn't want to use it as your only bushfire defence. We have cleared a lot of trees and vegetation away from t...

Fixing the chicken run netting roof

The support poles being used here are from a gazebo-like structure that the previous owner of the property was using to drape bird netting over to protect his veggie patch. It's not the best for this job but it will do as a temporary measure until finances allow an upgrade.

Aircon filter material replacement
Просмотров 48Год назад
Your filter material should be replaced every 3 or 4 years depending on use. This aircon filter wasn't touched in 20 years and was in a pretty poor state. I ordered new filter materials from: www.ausairconditioners.com.au/ They also send you a spline roller (the yellow-handled tool) in the kit (I already had one, but you can never have too many spline rollers) The delivery was prompt and withou...

Replacing the chain on the Husqvarna 435 chainsaw
Your soil is very wet. What would happen if the water is coming up from beneath the ground. Would this work with a deeper pit with holes drilled into the bottom.
Hey. You still happy with it? I'm thinking about buying one.
what about the oilfilter replacement
The brush you are using to wash your car will over time scratch your paint, better use multiple wash mitt or micro fiber towel.
probably could have run water through it and listened for flow before penetrating the pipe
I just did an install of the same clothes line and was curious to see what others had done. Basically, if you follow the instructions that come with it, you can't go wrong. This guy didn't really follow the instructions, so likely won't get as long a life out of this clothes line before it rusts at the base of the pole. 1) Use gravel, bring concrete up to the flange at the top of the plastic holder. 2) The flange should be level or above the level of the surrounding ground. 3) Use proper concrete and mix in a wheelbarrow. Ensures a better quality concrete and allows trowlling the top into a dome so water flows away from the clothes line pole. All of those steps ensure longevity of the clothes line. I've just replaced one of these that was concreted straight into the ground below ground level (not plastic holder) and it rusted and snapped at the base of the pole well before the rest of clothes line was end of life.
REMOVE FRONT BUMPER!!!… contact with an object can damage frame!!!!!….
U needed the 48inch

What a lovely Garden Like 2 My friend thank you for good sharing 😊
Only a harley rider. At least my ears will get a rest from the attrocious earsplitting racket
I would have put cement under the pit to keep it stable. But good job!
Amateur hour
my cover wont slip back on because of the brake position.
How much does the ts242 take oil wise for drain and renew? Thanks
The weather in Perth seems to be getting worse. My gutters are cleaned every year. But in last couple I'm getting some flooding. 2 down pipes go to well under ground that has no air ventilation. What I would like to know is if they need a vent to prevent pressure building up and so stop flow ?. Many thanks to anyone that can answer.
@rhettcorbett3346 Guessing you were there to witness this then with that sort of uneducated comment?
You doing a lot of walking, very nice place
Please do not glue the Sched 40 drain pipe to the top grate unless there are screws holding the grate so you can remove it for cleaning.
Yep this one has screws 😀
Too deep?

You have a beautiful property and the rain is keeping it cool and clean. 👍 🌺🌸
Using a yellow Jerry can which are used for diesel.
This gauge world be installed vertically.. not horizontally.
The snap T's usually have grooves to run a couple of hose clamps either side which alleviates that one concern you had.
Do they auto turn on when they get dark or do you have to manually switch them on/off?
Turn on automatically
What if rocks dirt mud etc falls into the pit .. it looks like it will go directly into the PVC and block the pipe ?
Has a baffle to prevent that
Whats a baffle@@101kashyyyk
I wonder what that wood would look like as furniture?

Would really help, if you mentioned how much water you were adding ..
Depends on the brand of rapid set concrete you are using
The engine is garbage ,despite 100 hour oil changes as recamended they start clanking at about 12000 hours 🤧
I've got the same issue with my zero turn. I have thought about drilling out the rivets and using bolts to attach a new deflector or spraying in the foam gap filler to hold it together for another season.
Do you have any tips on how to make pit drains quieter. We have lots of water running into ours and it is very noisy right near our bedroom.
Try a layer of gravel. About 30mm

What about leaving a space between the ground socket and the lawn so you remove the dryer and mow the lawn over the area!
It stays in place. Not an issue
What is the name of that hedge plant? and how do you dispose of the trimmings?
Not sure of the name sorry. Clippings are composted
Good job
Why didn't you just use a spade bit? or a hole saw?
Finally got one...Dropped it and all the bits fell out lol 🙄Can anyone post a video of how the bits (cogs& string)are ment to align so the pully from the float to the needle actually works 🤔😜
Very helpful. I was looking for something exactly like this, but this person forgot to show the hole.
How’s the mower you still happy with it?
Still happy. I would buy it again. So its a thumbs up
