Your Turn to Talk: new immigration policy
President Donald Trump’s administration pledged to deport approximately 11 million people who lack permanent legal status. And last week, Tennessee’s legislature passed a sweeping immigration law to support Trump’s planned mass deportation. Today, we hear details about the new policies and their effects on immigrants and refugees in Nashville. Plus, we learn about resources and “know your rights” programs for community members, educators and students. And once again, it’s your turn to talk. Call us at 615-760-2000 (about:invalid#zCSafez) . LOVED THIS! Nashville is my #1 favorite movie of all time. I’ve watched the film at least once a year since I saw it in the 70s as a teenager, bought it on VHS, DVD, and Criterion Blu-ray, read the “making of” book, owned the soundtrack on LP and CD, and just never get tired of it. Your coverage, guests and discussions were a joy to listen to. So great to hear those old clips and I loved listening to the album artist’s stories. I agree when he said the movie is about America (and it still applies today, imo.) THANK YOU!

The community is not great! It is not helpful or kind! It is vicious and profoundly dumb. The hierarchy is based upon lack of competence and local ties.

"Some fish...end up with damaged vertebrae from muscle cramping caused by the current." How very cruel. The carp should never have been brought here, and now are being twice victimized for being so admirably adaptable. They also suffer fear and pain, as science has shown: www.FishFeel.org/fish-sentience/ Humans keep messing with nature and it's members of our fellow sentient species who pay the greatest price for it - all too often with their lives.
