As of 2020, David Oreck is 96 years young !! He was the best "pitch man" in TV doing his own commercials. He spoke well, and he exuded integrity and confidence in his products. Oreck is the essence of a good old fashioned businessman whose most important product is customer satisfaction. God Bless him. We need more business people like David Oreck !!

That was just fresh air. When I used mine, my mom walked in and said "It smell fresh in here." If you still have it an don't want it, you better sell it.

The oreck I have, which I put back in the box after just 2 days, as it reads on my receipt......XL PRO AIR. I live in a small condo and the smell (or should I say stench) was so bad I just had to stop using it. I was afraid it might make my cat sick or kill him. The smell it gave off was like a combination of stinky industrial plastic and the smell of a magic marker. I know what ozone smells like because I had an Ionic Breeze. This was different. It smelled absolutely toxic

I've tried the Ionic Pro and Oreck Proshield Plus. So far I like my Oreck Proshield Plus. The one that was made right after this Oreck air purifier. Which Oreck air purifier you tried, that you didn't like?

I have been buying different air purifiers over the years I had an Ionic breeze, holmes , electrolux, oreck. So far I have liked my Electrolux Oxygen Ultra. It stands about 23 inches high (floor model....not a desk top model) has a huge hepa filter and charcoal filter, 4 speed settings, the fourth setting is quite strong and moves a lot of air. What amazed me is how much airborn "cat litter" particles this pulls out of the air. I had no idea cat litter dust lingers in the air

So annoying to clean too. What a hassle

I have my issues with this machine as well. The one I have gives of this stink of what I can only describe as the way it smells when you leave the cap off a magic marker.

I have this damn thing. It definitely does not work the way they say in the commercial. I'm using it right now and I'm still having trouble breathing. I cleaned my room and there is still some dust in the air, I cleaned the truman cell, in fact I even replaced my Oreck under the replacement warranty and the replacement is still not so great. I even cleaned the truman cell. Not worth the price and I got a damn discount and I still say not worth it.
