Not just an awesome author, but Richard K Morgan is one of the more brilliant minds of our time. He clearly sees our present world, and projects its flaws into his universe of the future.

Peter if you reading this Sanderson and Patrick Rothfuss both made this new move on the scene of literature. Way of Kings Prime and Narrow Roads Between Desires are the versions of previously ( 20 years ago with Sanderson) released texts, changed with 50% more content or in Prime example unedited first draft. You could always release Blindsight Beta :)

It just came to me. Something that can implement consciousness on a given substrata is parasitical on Siri or implemented its consciousness on him. Just like he could send on the beam of light the Portia and it is coming through him on the Earth where Vampire went back to controlling the number of the population let's say :) Earth will be the place of war but this time the sides will consist of Vampires and plague of zombieizm and the space consciousness wanting to parasite all substrata of the human minds. Space Hal9000 slash Neuromancer intelligence installing itself on the brains of humans vs Sarasti level of primal instinct. I want to see this Peter!!! p.s. Jukka Sarasti - nice nod to the chief conductor of Canadian opera ;)

And Moid deleted all the interviews so I want to once again write this here. The Thing is taking place in 1982 Winter/ Blindsight is starting in 13.02.2082. Is it a nod to The Thing? The 100 years date landing in 82 again? ;)

This was a fantastic listen. Morgan is easily my favorite author because he writes reality set in fiction, and that's exactly what we need more of in the world. I love that you let him ramble and rabbit-hole as he has some very interesting things to say and has a very coherent train of thought. It's hard to find recent footage of him, so it's a lot of fun to hear his takes on recent events, geopolitics, technology, genres, etc. He's a very salient human.

I have read Blindsight 3 times, once in Polish, once in English and just have finished audiobook in Polish again. I like the structure of it. It is elegant in the way Contact by Sagan is. It is giving me a pleasure every time. I am on my slow mission to read every book/novel by Peter. Few books in, now I need to start The Rifters ;) Can not wait for Omni. Peter became my fav author when I hit middle age. I never have thought that I could find an author whose books I will be waiting for like teenage boy waiting for some press for The Youth :) Last time I was so excited for a book in 2006 another Drizzt by Salvtore :) Last time I checked drow adventures. I have heard Menzoberanzan has some a-woke revolution :) p.s. I hope Moid will be able to reupload discussion with PW and others. p.p.s I am in an age Peter was when he wrote Rifters. I became inspired by his talks and also started to write my own book. Have few chapters on paper, few in my head ;) Thank you Peter for being vulgar inspiration for me ;) Cheers from Poland!

WOW!!!! GREAT!!! As a kid, I bought Neverness in a Belgrade book fair, the only Serbian edition. It was time when I was reading Dan Simmons and Orson Scot Card, Vernor Vinge.... and again I was blown away! I thought oh my god, this is some kind of philosophical SF and this is something that will define my taste. Now 15 years later I finally bought all Neverness (A Requiem for Homo Sapiens) books and I am getting info that Zindell will release a new book in the series. What a beautiful day!

On page 359 in Blindsight Peter wrote: (Siri) "So much power my father must have had, to be able to authorize such a broadcast and waste so much of it on feelings. Oh God, how I treasure it. I treasure every word." To me, it is the most important part of the book...and if you haven't come across it on his blog, Peter wrote a eulogy, of sorts, when his father died, one of the most beautiful things I've ever read. I've never looked forward to a book in the way I look forward to Omniscience...thanks so much for this podcast, love to hear Peter will complete Siri and The Major's story.
