A friend and I played the PTR on friday and saturday night and we had a shitload of boss materials. We did 40+ runs of beast in ice on torment 4 and probability about the same amount of runs of zir on torment 4. We were just trying to farm ancestral uniques that we needed for our end game builds. Neither one of us got more than 2 ancestral unique drops and they werent the ones we needed out of all the boss runs. The drop rates are bullshit. I got more mythic drops(2) than regular ancestral unique drops. So idk what to say. They better buff that shit by alot come the launch of next season. Otherwise, i dont think many players will be sticking around.

Good conversation but @33:22 sums it all up for the PTR. We know nothing as of yet. The PTR is just to feel about progression, its not even the most up to date version of the game. So before any of ya'll who are disgruntled hating the changes, just wait lol. Theres still a hell of a lot to explore come OCT. 8

POE is a terrible comparison for player power considering how weighted power is on just the character.

"start with a normal item. then turn it magic. then rare. blah blah blah." 'i want d4 to be PoE' is not a valid argument.

I prefer the new Glyph system, you dont have to Grind all they long, to find a 3GA items, and finally you get it, and are with totally bad aspects... so you have to grind again, to be strong enough, to make the game content... now with a Glyph grindig you can get your power... first of all, you neeed a decent gear to be able to do high Pit levels... after you can grind these levels to get your glyph at 70+ levels.... and second The pit takes 2 to 5 mins, the NMD was like 10-15 mins.... so I cheer the new system

Hello! Does anyone know If masterworking is better on tempered affix than normal one? Exemple: i have 50% crit damage normal affix and 65% crit damage as tempered affix. Îs masterworking on those the same or not? Thanks!

I don't like that you run out of things to do in a day or two. I like Grim Dawn, where it takes like a week to get a character to the end.

this builds shreds but struggles with high level bosses

People hate on D4 because it's for "casuals". But honestly the genre NEEDS D4, to draw people in and get their feet wet and give them a base understanding of ARPG systems. Eventually some of these people will try out other games when they're looking for something a little more involved like POE/Last Epoch etc.

Look at all these Diablo 4 steamers, that going to ditch d4 once poe2 hits.

I am a newer player that has struggled with this class and my man helped me out greatly I understand more and my build is a lot better if you ever do build fixings let me know you can try your luck with this junk I got @barricade lol

I think the game is going in the right direction... but a few thoughts 1) having the progression system tied to the pit will push people to only use AoE heavy builds - this will reduce build diversity if you want to be competitive. Also Pit feels very repetitive and not fun, and I dont like that my progress is dependent on monster types, end boss or pylone fishing. 2) limiting the paragon board number will also reduce diversity, we will take all the nodes. There is no longer enough choices to make, 4 boards and 5 glyphs, maybe swap one glyph and you will have the same thing for every build. Why lose so much design space creating other glyphs and boards that are fitting with different builds? in the end ppl will mainly take the same ones that are more powerful/better. The system before was not ideal because you would only take glyphs, but this could be solved by buffing the other nodes and make the choices interesting/difficult. 3) having so much power behind glyphs is a mistake, it limits the impact of gear outside reaching defence caps and op mythics, and in an ARPG game thats surely a bad design.

Hear me out. Just saw Rob make a barbarian build with no direct attacks. He used Leap and stomp with shouts. So yeah glyphs are probably OP. But if that's the case. The new power with glyphs allows for more diversity in builds. Why not have or imagine a build you want instead of following every meta slave. I think it's great to see something like this. All classes should really have build diversity else it becomes stale very fast. Big win for those who have an imagination for build diversity.

So we are getting 8 new "difficulties". 8 more to go. We are steadily going there folks. And then everyone will shit on this game too and move on.

This is going to limit most builds to 6 glyphs. One to swap around. It’s really no different than the old setup, but now with “legendary %’s.” It just takes longer now to get glyph xp over time. In its current form there is a real lack in ancestral gear, wich limits most builds from pushing far. As an example, the builds that are killing tier 4 in the PTR are using legacy gear. Go start a fresh char and only get the gear available, and see how far you can push in 4.

@28:00 You literally dont understand the feedback DM is describing. That person knows outside resources exist but doesnt want to be required to go ask for help to understand the game. PoE requires the community and outside resources to fully take advantage of every system in the game. D4 is the entry title to the genre. If it starts adding character depth as crazy as PoE than they will lose the 90% of players that are console casuals. Plus saying just go ask for help as a rebuttal to not wanting the game to get to complex deserves a heavy eye roll.

T4 bosses dropping normal uniques is terrible. I never farm normal bosses because it felt bad to get a 800ilvl unique once you were 80+

Yea being a blaster d3 one thing I don’t like is them doing the glyphs like the gems with chance to lvl up is my only concern. An knowing that was such a bad thing because that’s all you did in grs an that got boring because that’s all you did .

Master working is nice, but too random. And then you go to reset, it literally wipes all the stats to zero ..great, so you just wasted all those pit runs. It should allow you to reset a specific affix.

May i ask why 2 legendary rings with those aspects? Instead of the loop ring or the blue roses ? Also same question for amulet! U could have the one that when ur core hit 4 ennemies u gain 53% of that spent ressources. Forgot the name motther something 😅 im trying to do this build got the arlequin crest helmet yesterday, video on my channel... i can clear lvl 96 nighmare dongeon easily but the level 150 boss kinda killled me 1 shot with i dont know wich elements.. 😮😮

my issue is when i copied another folder, the second game checks....for the instance and closes it createst two different d2r in processes, and it happens so quick i cant close the handle on the second one...
