What kinda guitar is it ?
@@imraanjacobs3670 fender Stratocaster 1991 Strat Plus. My baby
Yes mate you learned it by ear like me you play the exact same positions I do
awesome!!!
On fire that's hot!
That was awesome!
Heavy metal guitarist plays a great tribute to Grant Geissman's solo. Respect.
That guitar solo is one of my favorite musical moments of all time .
That's for sure!
If Grant ever needs somebody to sit in for him I know just the guy!!
Excellent work man
Perfect man.
Eeeeey muy bien!
Yeah!!
A pros pro .... great job
Job well done!
Yeah man!
But he had a black headstock...? He took extensive steps to make his baby stand out and either they've changed the neck or that's not his bass...
100% its his bass.. he had more than just 1 played a few during the 70s
im making a replica never seen one with a black headstock
@@collihill Cool. I had one back in the 70s, they’re awesome to play. When you build, pay particular attention to grounding. The metal pickguard wreaked havoc for me..I admit I was young and not knowledgeable of electrical issues..it’s a miracle I didn’t electrocute myself 😆
@@histeve1110 thanks for the comment i was wondering how it would go with the alloy scratch plate, how did you get round the problem. thanks joe
@@collihill Joe, to be honest, I don’t remember lol. I know I tried several ways to ground it, and something eventually worked. With today’s active pickups, it may not even be an issue. Probably a good idea to check with your local guitar shops, the techs might have ideas for you. In the meantime, keep working out. To strap on a P-bass is one thing, but adding a metal guard, maybe a Badass bridge..you gotta be in good shape to lug that around a stage for a few hours 💪
Love it....
Prolly a long shot after 5 yrs but .... do u recall (a) what gauge strings (10s?), and (b) what action settings, u had on ur Strat? Very nice job, btw.
Thanks very much 👍 Gauge 10s, not super low action.. probably just regular heigh
Fantastic and spot on! That's in my Top 10 for guitar solos from any genre. Thanksfor posting!
When I was coming up I thought that was the baddest solo I had ever heard along with the Slave "Slide guitar solo". Its still iconic in my book...very vice job my friend!!
EXCELLENT JOB!!! One of my ALL-TIME FAVORITE guitar solos, and you NAILED IT!!! OUTSTANDING my friend!!!
Angus Young playing Grant Geissman, = awesome!
Yes indeed!
Only his mother knows
Nice job man. I saw grant say on another video that he feels most guys who play this solo that he’s watched play it up to high on the neck and he plays it lower on the neck because it’s easier.
post a video using a an anp
Grant might have provided tons of solos for recording, but chuck approved this one, because it feels so good.
wow nice play !! MY play link !! ruclips.net/video/KLQRLyS3JHc/видео.html
You got it!
Not bad
Love those slides in the middle! Thanks.
I like the juxtaposition of the AC⚡DC t shirt.
I was listening to Benson, Carlton, Ritenour at the time and remember thinking, “who the hell was that!” When I first heard that solo. His time in the Sun!
nice cover...
Men, you really play very well!! Congratulations!!
You are great at guitar but this is awful
What the hell are you talking about.
Amazing!! I love this song because of this solo, you did it great. Thanks so much for sharing!!
Awesome
De pinga! Like we say in Cuba!!! Great!!!!!!
If God gave you the gift of building your idea of the perfect rocker it would be Phil Paris Lynott, He was a direct descent of the ancient Irish warrior Cú Chulainn, the hound of Ulster. The blessed Phil was the cowboy, the porker player, the rocker, the wild Gipsey boy, the dancing Rudolph Valentino, the poet, the storyteller, the wise one, the lover, the lad how just got back to his town after his travels with many tales and stories to tells to his palls, the master wordsmith, the boy on the corner with his back to against the wall in the center of town with one leg bent and flat of foot placed on the wall for balance with cigaret in hand and a wing and glint in his eye for the passing girls. The man up front driving his warrior players in his band on. The vagabond of the western world, the teacher, the educator, the master musician. Listen to his words in Military Man, it will put a shiver down your back and make you think like never before about been guns and war. He is thought of in equal terms as many of Irelands previous greats, Oscar Wild, William Butler Yeats, James Joyce, Seamus Heaney, Samuel Beckett, Patrick Kavanagh, Brendan Behan, Jonathan Swift, Edna O'Brien,Thomas Moore, Lady Gregory, Seán Ó Ríordáin, Lady Wilde, Jonathan Swift, Oliver Goldsmith, George Bernard Shaw, Seán O'Casey etc Phill was a man for all seasons and anyone would have been as proud as punch to have been called his pall Phil had the words and thoughts of a brilliant genius running through every inch of his body and mind and which he was Phil and Thin Lizzy music, poems and stories will be listened to in several hundreds years’ time. Mark my words on this I will be proven right on this. .
Best version I've heard yet! Learning this is one of my life's goals! Might need a lesson or 2!
Excellent Guitar Solo!
Freaking AMAZING!!!!! Your fingering is off the chain! :-)
Tony Berry the wife says the same thing 😂.. but in all seriousness thank you so much.. I put alot of work into learning it
