Right. So, levels actually doesn't matter that much here because the game auto adjusts to your current situation. That said, the most common progression of the storyline is Mages Tower, Redcliffe, Brecilian Forest, Urn Of Sacred Ashes and Orzammar last. Your issue is not level. In fact, being around level 14 seems fairly reasonable when going into Orzammar and thus most enemies will match your level because of the auto adjusting (scaling); the only exception are boss fights as bosses, elite bosses in particular, has a fixed level. We'll start with Alistair as his immediate fix is very simple - injuries. He has like six, seven injuries on him and they cripple him quite a bit. Wynne has a thing in her Spirit Healer tree that can help with them, I'm not sure if you've picked it up however, but when you do know that it is a very good outside of combat thing. It draines too much mana to be used in combat so whenever you got injuries and not fighting toggle it on to heal up injuries and toggle it off again before moving on. I doubt you have injury kits stacked but those obviously works too. Generally for injuries though just leave the world and enter your camp, it'll heal everything. From the looks of it Alistair is still in his default equipment and that is the next thing that gives him issues. He's not strong enough yet for the big stuff but you should at least be able to put Varathorn's Armor on him for a little boost. I don't know how far ahead you have recorded but in case you still haven't visited camp or similar when reading this then I'll propose that you do so simply to heal the injuries. Alistair is not alone in having them. NOTE, you'll receive an injury whenever a character falls in battle so if you die a lot you'll return quickly to the Alistair state - if we can call it that for future reference. And because I don't know where you are currently I don't really know how much more to comment but the injury/equipment business goes for all characters, you should always be healthy and donned in the best gear you can work with. With Wynne however I'd like you to remove Arcane Bolt from her tactics, it's mana she needs on healing. She has nothing in the ways of damage so her throwing Arcane Bolts around is just a waste and you should add Regeneration to herself and allies when at health below 90% twice (even thrice) in her tactics. Regeneration is a heal over time where the total amount is more than the Heal spell, the cooldown is also fast enough to keep two friendles under regenerating constantly as long as mana allows. You should put the Heal spell at a lower treshold for worser times. And the Sten needs a twohanded weapon, even the crappiest one around is better than a crossbow.
