We had no does this was in Gainesville. What a beautiful nature walk! As Floridians we always joke about “hiking” in the compared to traditional hiking, but this really does look like a tranquil, pretty walk. Adding it to the Gainesville list!

Hello! We are catching up on RUclips after the holidays and just saw this update. First of all, good for y’all for doing what you need to do to give Ellie the best care! I have heard amazing things about the UF Animal Clinic so we are sending y’all good vibes! Second, Gainesville is a cool little college town. We haven’t explored it properly, usually just stopover on the way to GA. But that brewery looked so cool! I love the fire pits on the table. I also love you opening statement: “this story, like so many others, begins at a brewery.” We are kindred spirits 😂. Happy new year!

People in that city are so kind, I think you'll love it. I experienced Gainesville hospitality at their amazing small airport. Everyone was so personable and the airport was so efficient and quick moving, it made me consider moving there.

So ... ... if you're staying near I-75 & Archer Road it's very busy traffic wise especially during the early morning and late afternoon commuting hours. G'ville has "superblocks", neighborhoods surrounded by heavily used multi-laned roads with un-synchronized lights. Add, the University of Florida 2025 Spring classes start January 13, the Vet Center is adjacent to University Health hospitals and the Veterans Administration so include some extra time to your commuting. Sometimes it's easier to take the longer peripheral roads. On the other hand you're next to Bulter Plaza, i.e. Petsmart, etc.. Kanapaha Gardens is down the road, the on campus Performing Arts Center has the Museum of Natural History and Harn Museum with a Florida room of historical local paintings. Note, parking is difficult on campus. Micanopy, south of G'ville, is a small pleasant town while St. Augustine on the east coast is a two hour or so drive. Mentioned Paynes Praire. Ellie might not care for the free roaming sun bathing gators, not the football fans but reptiles. And, yea, Gainesville was orginally named Hog Town :)

Sending lots of healing vibes out to Ellie on this new chapter. I’ve never been to the Gainesville side of Florida but I hear parts are beautiful. It’s one of the places we want to get out and explore for a weekend trip around the state we live in.

Gainesville is a great area to be in. We’re sending a ton of thoughts and prayers your way. We are animal lovers (particularly dogs) so we get it. Your passion, commitment and love for Ellie is awesome. If Tiffany and I were in the sane situation we would doing the exact same as you and Amy are.

Mountain Magic is correct! It’s beautiful. I’m not a big wine drinker BUT I do enjoy Evolution #9 and Schmitt & Sohne Riesling. I love all beer…. Especially dark beers. Grandads is a place I would love. My favorite doughnut is a cake based apple cider doughnut. Great video and glad you’ll had a fantastic weekend.

I think my most favorite wine yet has been Evolution 9. I like white wines best but like some red as well. Beautiful winery and the food looked amazing. It looked like a very relaxing weekend to get away and clear your minds 😊.
