Tony, I thoroughly enjoyed being part of your poetry event. I was impressed by the number of poets who attended and the quality of the work they read. My thanks to Margarette Wahl for sharing readings from her own work. A fine evening all around.

My favorite author. Just finished One Italian Summer. In Five Years is my favorite book of all time. I have constantly said that Rebecca Serle has such a different way of writing beauty and loss. Her books are simple events, soft plots, and crushing endings; the exact copy of real life. Life is the simple every day tasks that add up into something meaningful and beautiful.

Excellent interview! I will be leading a Book Club discussion this month about this novel and your interview with Shelby Van Pelt was spot on.

I COMPLETELY agree about her narration of Addie LaRue!! That audiobook brought me into audiobooks! I legitimately seek her out in my library search to see which ones she narrates. Those are the ones I read. Those are the ones I now listen to. 🤍

Our Book Club will be discussing this in a few days. I’m excited to hear what everyone thinks. I really enjoyed it.

This book has changed my life and inspired me to write again! It's such a beautifully woven novel. Shelby's sense of tone of voice is so commanding it pulls you in quickly. Congratulations on this masterpiece and I hope to read more of your work in the future!
