By the way, this is NOT the original song by Abba-Jirmaa [Abdullahii Jirma] but a re-make/re-interpretation of his song by another Borana-Oromoo artist from Kenya. One way of telling Abdullahi's original songs is through the distinctive & more complex sound Abdullahi's 12-string Oud/Kaban guitar produces. Oud/Kaban guitars are popular among Somali & Sudanese/Arab singers. Ordinary guitars have about 6 strings. Here is a sample of Abdullahi Jirma's original song where a 12-string Oud/Kaban guitar was used. The title of the song is: "Kootti, me kootti". ruclips.net/video/OXO8VZkvSZA/видео.html
@@beautifulsdiary8231 - thanks a lot. The original version would be great. I think someone uploaded the original version of that song titled: "si sirba chaqasi" OR "sii sirbaa chaqasi" [unlikely as this format of spelling is hardly used among Afaan Borana speakers in Kenya - people more likely to upload Abdullahi Jirma's songs]. I tried to look for the original song on RUclips but haven't been suceessful so far. The fact that many of such songs have been uploaded without proper titles or with vague titles such as "Abdullahi Jirma - Track#1.. Track#2", etc, format makes finding his songs more difficult. But, I will link it right here if I find it. Nagaatti/nabad.
Cheers to the 2024
