Day 6 post OP: My first taste of food (having been fed by a drip for 6 days) was momentous. And tasty! Eating subsequently become a significant and hugely emotional challenge over the followng 3 months. Day 7 Post Op: Drinking water is really hard, you need your tongue to drink. This was my first attempt. It took 4 hours to drink that half cup but it meant the world to me.
