I see him and Aesfrost as the logical conclusion of Edelgard's ideals taken to their logical extremes. It and Benedict's ending are warnings as to what Adrestia and Edelgard will eventually turn into without a compassionate heart (which she lacks in all routes save her own and even then it only goes so far).

I dunno, they seem about the same to me, on a bottom line basis: they both started wars that got a bunch of people who didn't deserve it killed. No amount of pretense will make that OK, unless you're fine with treating life as a mere statistic in favor of lofty ideals, then by all means, go ahead.

Tbh i think its the opposite. Gustadolph for example wants knowledge known to all while Edelgard lies and supresses informations dozens of times in the story(for example when she said the church nuked fort merceus and not the agarthans)

@@kratosnl I played Radiant Historia so I knew full well that there was nothing of substance behind the curtain. Honestly, the plot twist would not have surprised anyone who watched "The Wizard of Oz". But this theme makes me think of Eternal Darkness for whatever reason= death cults, bad religions, and incredible voice acting are two things that Triangle Strategy and Eternal Darkness share. Love the drums kicking in around the two-minute mark

I kinda expected Idore would be the main villain after Rhea in fire emblem 3 houses, Yoseph fro Astral Chain, and Amalthus from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. After all that it was kind of easy to predict Idore as the true villain.
