I use the two. While comparing them is interesting, I'd say using them together is absurdly efficient. Obsidian acts more as a knowledge base, rather than a note taking base. It can be but from my experience, it's a bit unoptimal when you really need to take a quick note, you have to descide where to take it, open the right tab etc ( on mobile ). I find it absurdly efficitent to use simplenote as your on the go field notes taking app, and when you have the time to put your notes in order, you can properly copy them in obsidian, at the right place. So both would be great. If you don't need a deep separation between your notes, and don't need a knowledge base, I'd only use simplenotes.

I like Obsidian, but I have 2 problems with Obsidian, 1) it is not open source. One day, it will turn Microsoft or Adobe. By then, I would have tens of thousand if notes. I don't want to be in the dilemma. 2) it' iOS version, con't synch with WebDAV. I don't want it to be tied down with iCloud when I have over 5GB vault size. I have 1 problem with logseq, 1) i can't comprehend logseq, I feel like I do not have full control.
