9/18/2024 Day 2 with ART Pro 1121 Had the mast too far forward. Can’t wait to figure out the sweet spot. Camera battery died before the end of the session.

July 10, 2024 Spitfire 1180 w 359 skinny rear crazy short advanced fuselage Day 3, short session, lightest winds of the trip so far. Was forecasted for no wind but it was a good afternoon.

@@wesgoulding9244 It’s good. I catch 2’s and 3’s pretty regularly. Guy said I was doing 15mph pumping out past him the other day. I don’t feel held back too much.
What did you think, from your last foil?

Had to look at my log to remember more accurately. I did 6 flat water days before attempting the open ocean where I couldn’t even stand up. So cool to see how far everyone has progressed since this video.

Change up your filming style - the fish eye effect the whole way through was not good. Also, remember your audience is watching on tv’s and monitors - don’t film vertically. Looks like a blast out there though. Thanks!
Nah, don't listen to the hater. Angles were fine, and most people actually use their phones so vertical is acceptable.
Thanks. I’m working more on changing my riding style for now. The videos help me see what I’m actually doing or not doing compared to what it feels like. I didn’t think anyone other than me would actually want to watch these in any orientation and I’m always watching on my phone.

Yes, I did. Still have my gear but haven’t jumped in years. Need to get a repack and get back out again.
Your paddle up's are real good. Have you tried A: moving your front foot back a bit once you get up? B: letting go of the top hand on the paddle once your up? So you can open your shoulders more and possibly be better balanced?
Thanks, I have been playing around with my foot positioning. Trying to figure where to stand during paddle, pop, ride and pump. So many variables. I usually release the paddle in the surf once I’m stable, just haven’t felt stable enough lately in the ocean. I see what you’re suggesting, that maybe releasing would help me to stabilize. It’s seems pretty wild with all the crossed up water movement lately. The struggle is real, and I love it. Gotta earn those turns.
I would be worn out in like 2 minutes... BUT I really want to try that. Thanks for sharing Stephen.
This form of foiling is very physically demanding. I love the challenge and don’t want to admit defeat. These days, though, with the new generation of Foil Drives and others out there, anyone can get some of this fun. It’s really magical.
