I see two people from the movie, the Judas guy, and blue top/ponytail lady. There is a RUclips with Robin’s version also, this lady has a raspier/Carol Channing sounding voice, but still good.
I saw this cast in Pittsburgh. Godspell was written here at Carnegie Mellon University. The movie was OK, but the stage play had a charrm and intimacy the movie could never capture
this was the first national tour. Jesus was Mark Shera, Judas was Marc Ganzel, and I believe day by day was sung by Debby Weems, Valeri Williams sang turn back oh man, teh redhead looks like katie Hanley who did the film

Jesus is played by Mark Shera here( later of SWAT fame) I saw this at the Forrest Theater in summer of '73. I also saw Philip Casnoff as Jesus in same production.Barbara Deutch sang Day by Day, Cheryl Barnes same All Good Gifts, Kathleen Gordon, Barbara Lauren,Rick Varetta, Mark Ganzel as John the Baptist/ Judas, I'm forgetting some I know..
Robin’s version is so much better. I think her version is hard to listen to.
Growing up in the 70s was great and hearing this song made my day by day 😊
Rick Vairetta sang Learn Your Lessons Well in this production
Great 😃
Its not good.
I loved the 70s Six years old

Omg. This was hideously bad.

"selected excerpts" = Day by Day
Barbara Deutsch's unique voice is perfect for Day By Day. I wish I was in the audience back in '73. Mercy!
She has a lovely voice, but her pronunciation of some words throws me off.
I saw this about 10 times.
Had to be a rip being part of that
God, the 70s were so great!
Best era for America
sweet
remember wake up to go to school. And hearing day by day! I was in the 11th grade at the time

Barbara Deutsch Day by Day.
Kathleen Gordon is the auburn/redhead and Barbara Deutch Day by Day
Barbara Deutsch is singing Day by Day. Kathleen Gordon is the redhead
I love this song. It always gets me in my heart.
Same here
Summers break from school back in the Day...watching the greatest guests of all on Mike Douglas! Great memories!!!
Robin Lamont's version is waaaaay better.
That’s really rude
@@barbaralauren3289 No, it's not. I didn't say anything derogatory, it's simple what I prefer. Robin's voice is better and stronger.
@Ben Dover Robin's rendition is sooo good!
@Robert Lee, Countertenor Yes she has her own unique quality about it.
@@JP5466 I agree too,,the original singer who sang this back in 72..
Barbara Deutsch
Was Barbara Deutsch your maiden name?
@@kateandphoebe no, I’m barbara Lauren. This singer is Barbara Deutsch.
This is not the cast from the motion picture.

Who's in that cast? I loved the end when Jesus hugs Robin's character
I like haddock with tartar sauce.
