In today’s video I Compare flowmaster 40s and SLP LM1 resonators. I’m really impressed with how the LM1’s sound, very little drone and not too loud until you get on the gas. Then you really hear them eagles purr.
Car clicks once but doesn’t start *FIX*

Today I show you one solution on why your car clicks once but doesn’t start. All my electronics in the car worked (radio, a/c fan, headlights, etc.) but when I cranked the engine nothing happened but a single pop. Hopefully this helps you narrow things down thanks for watching!
Harris Jose Smith Thomas Brown Shirley
I'll try it and then let u know...
Instead of switching it can I clean them
Battery shouldn’t bounce
were you getting power on your stereo and dash ? Having a similar issue
THANK YOU! Changed the battery and starter and this was the problem.
expect the unexpected, trust me; our ego makes us not test what we think is right. I keep on seeing no corrosion on my terminals. yet, when I re did them; my vehicle magically worked fine. thanks for showing us the simple things.
I know the feeling when you fix something on a ride. Help bro. Thanks.
Liked at the end like he won the super Bowl 😂
I had the same issue and my ground wires slid of the terminals I re tighten and problem solved
My car is doing the same rn but does your lights and accessories still turn on ? My lights aren’t dim, even tried jumping the car off and still didn’t start
@@cliffcarr1805 try pulling ur terminal to see if they slide off if they do then there ur prob just tighten it
I really hope this is the issue I’m having with my Mercedes, clicks once and doesn’t start
You just saved me $150 I did not have thanks!!!!!!
What was the measurements for the socket
The socket for the window nuts is an 8mm or 11/32. The other bolts are 10mm or 7/16 will fit and you will want to use a deep well socket to remove that outside panel.
Our volvo s80 2001 clicking with a new battery..cables to solenoid kast chance i afraid..🤔🙄
Great video, even if it is 3years old. My fucking quarter window is leaking on my 2000 coupe and I have to remove the window and re seal it. Quote from 5 different shops $250-$500. Way cheeper to do this yourself. And as for glue, I will just use white/clear or black caulking and put a bead all the way around.
I had the same problem with my car I tried to start it around 5 times but it would only click once then on the 6th try it started right up I'm thinking my issue is the starter motor jamming up
I LAUGHED. AND I LEARNED. THANK YOU. What glue did you use ?
It was with the kit when I ordered it off eBay
Thanks for the good tip! I had the same symptom. One click, no start. Your video prompted me to investigate my battery connection further, and upon giving it a thorough cleaning, noticed the wire that goes from the positive post battery connection to the alternator had broken. After cleaning and holding them in contact with a screwdriver, the car started. Thank you!
🐐 you are the man. ive been looking how to fix my car parked across town literally walking there everyday trying to figure out why it won't start this with no doubt explains everything
Worked like a charm on my negative cable! Thanks for posting!
Ground isn't tight cheif
Yo man, thank you for sharing man!! It worked on my 98 Dodge Ram. She’s back to life now!!
at the end when it fires n he pops out the car hahahahahah priceless feeling!!!!!

Thank you so much this fixed my ram 2500
did you use liquid nails as the glue?
This is very common with the Mustang it happens to mine
Brother you are the shit thank you bro!!!!!!!
Same thing was on my forklift battery but first I changed the starter for $230.
Thanks a lot bro it worked turned on a soon as I trimmed it down
Aye bro the ending had me 🤣🤣👍🏽 got a sub from me
Hey man ur a life saver , just got my 3000gt to run
Aaahh Yeah, Perfect title, exactly what my problem Was! Thanks for posting.
Still something wrong with it. It shouldn't take that long to turn over.
Wish you would have showed what it was doing b4 the fix. I know you explained it, but showing would have been nice. Thanks. My 09 Impala Ss doing this no start no crank crap. Just bought new starter, and fuel pump. Bring battery charged now at Autozone. Hope I can get a simple fix like you.
Yo! Clean, re-attach, then Saturate” your battery terminals with corrosion inhibitor. (lps 3 is one) then every 2 yrs, give em another soaking and you’ll never have bat term probs🥴
Man I really appreciate it! The corrosion was my problem so thanks for your help!
Plus look me up for content on tacomas!
It has to be the corrosion, I have a 2005 Tacoma and I have replaced the alternator, starter, battery and still wouldn’t turn on. I will check my wiring and get back to give a thumbs up!
Was it the wires ?
Was it
Thanks 👍😎
Im having same issue with 2012 dodge charger any suggestions
@Crowd Eater when it clicked once did all the electronics stop working also?
Just out of curiosity, why were you asking about the electronics along with the 'one click'
@@american_citizen9169 I have a 94 e350 and I was about to leave work one night and when I turned the key it sounded like the solinoid clicked one time and I lost all power acc and all
👍🏾👍🏾 good job
Hopefully this is what I need to do
Yeah my 2001 v6 mustang does this sometimes at first it only did it every once and a while and I thought nothing of it because it would start right up afterwards it clicks one time but won’t crank but once it happens it won’t start there were two different sounds I was hearing though one from the starter clicking and one from something else after continuously trying to start it about 6 times right back to back it started but I don’t want to have to do that once I have it started and turn it off it starts right back up does this mean my starter could be bad if not what else could possibly be bad and how do I go about fixing it?
Try prepping the fuel pump twist the key a few times but not to crank just to put your battery on do that a few times if it turns on it’s most likely your fuel pump but it sounds like starter issues to me
The fact he fixed that shit barefoot lmfao respect
Nice work brother, I'm chasing down a similar issue in a honda now.
What was it please help a brother out lol
@@jacobpharis2302 I've had the same "click-nothing-happens" problem on multiple makes + models, and it wasn't always the same problem + fix. Make sure both battery terminals are clean, tight, and undamaged. It's really common for them to corrode, weaken, crack, and eventually break completely. Sometimes tapping the starter a few times with a hammer will work to start the car a few more times, if the starter is about to fail. Make sure the battery is fully charged and actually in good condition. It's possible that a battery can show proper voltage while unloaded, but fall on its face when you turn the key to start the car. Other times the ground cable from the battery to the chassis was the problem. I've seen the copper strands rip, and I've seen heavy corrosion that can't be corrected without replacing the whole cable. Other times the cable has been in good condition, but the bolted connection to the chassis was dirty + corroded. Cleaning the connection solved the problem without needing any new parts. The starter usually electrically grounds through its casing, so if the starter mounting bolts are even a little loose, the starter will not draw current and turn the engine over (click). If there's a thick ground cable that connects the engine to the chassis, it's really important and has to be in good condition and firmly + cleanly attached. These problems can show up in pretty much any vehicle.
@@eddiesheeran5791 believe it or not his issue was the same of mine a bad ground wire she’s up and running now
@@jacobpharis2302 Nice work! I'm glad you figured it out.
@@eddiesheeran5791 so where exactly do you hook up your voltmeter to test a starter?
I had the same hit done an I still get a run sometimes but once turned off won't start again
Having this problem but mine still won’t start I was driving the car and I took a left turn and it slowly died I’m not sure what to do
So did you fix it it's been a month
@@velizarmilutinovic2947 yea turns out when I put my new o2 sensor in the exhaust had burned through the wires causing fuse 22 to short
Safety comment connect and tighten positive terminal before putting negative on so if you hit bodywork with the wrench you don't get a short.
