So 4 years later now due to work stuff we moving from the Uk and i have to sell it. I am very sad as i love this car and it still drives very well even tho 170k . I looked after it like my own child . Unfortunately is no other choice as shipping and registering to USA is way too much . Also is wheel on wrong side. This is a sad day … i was hoping to drive it more. I will buy another bmw there. ...

This is an update of latest developments on the car and also has some pictures of a part I had to replace and with the fuel consumption that I calculated to be 6.4 % ( thats over 40 mpg ) . Sorry for not so grate editing , this is meant to inform people not to be marketing. If you have questions just make a coment . The trip started in UK and took me all the way to Ro across all of EU and back ...

What are we all doing for mot's seen a nice audi v6 tdi but has a dpf delete so worried about mot man
I did mot with no dpf for 5 years …. No problem . I told in first video . You remove, gut it, or turn into exhaust and put it back. Looks like is still there.
It’s the Dr Martens Made in England and the Solovair obviously Made in England stable rivalry. Both are a great product. The Dr Martens made in Asia are rubbish but the English made are a good boot and last for years if looked after.
They are trash compared to a proper pair of boots. Leather in them is cheap, no internal insulation, soles are just basic not even cushioned . Some of the most expensive and worst boots i ever had will never buy again. Look for Lowa boots or if you want like shoes look for Ecco or Oter. 100 times better. Martens are for people who pay the brand not the quality of an item. I repeat. Worst shoes i ever had so sorry i bought them and lost money .

Hi Mihai, thanks for the video. My DPF is now clogged and so it will go out very soon. Regarding the EGR, is it enough to disable it in software or must it be also physically blocked? Thanks!

MOT/ itp , doar cu spaguta Romane , ca se decteaza noxe - gen euro3/4, lucrez și vad in fiecare zii, vad mai șmecheri ca tine, ce nu taie dpf-ul, il cumpara din rusia/india direct varianta euro 3(genuine/original) care are doar CAT-ul, fara DPF, ȚĂRILE respective având motorină cu CONCENTRATIE de sulf mare, accepta EURO 3 SI IN 2024 , fata de normele euro. oricum legislația se schimba și la ei, dar mai sint f multe ,, dpf,, doar cu CAT in carcasa, ( genuine by BMW) doar PT VEHICULE CU LEGISLAȚIE EURO 3

@@re_stricted no i don’t. Car was sold when it reached 173.000 miles. Do not know where it is now. How ever i had it for 100k miles pretty much. So all i said here worked fine for 5 years of my ownership . Can tell you as much . I will not buy a bmw again, it was a very nice and fun car but completely useless in this shit hole of island . Bad roads , cameras all over, floods . Worst roads i seen in all of europe. Thats grate if you live in germany or spain pretty much anywhere except uk . Best car here is a landcruiser.
Hahahaha I feel that my friend, I own an e92 with the N57 and I moved down to 18” alloys as the standard 313 alloys were just being destroyed by the terrible roads. I live in an area without many cameras thankfully so can have fun 🙏 Sad you got rid of it I saw you in another comment saying you were willing to consider offers on it. @@re_stricted i only have van now friend. I miss the bmw it was lovely. But i would like to buy my next one with less work to put into it. And that is expensive. And i do not want to take bank money. Things in the world are looking bad friend. In my country they had a state coup they just cancelled our presidential elections. This are not times to spend money on dreams we might be looking at some major financial crisis coming our way . Look at US they want to put tarif on all imports now , that will be better in long run stimulate local production but on short term will raise prices . To answer your question , i would like an m4 cabrio . But i cant afford one . Not yet anyway…. One day when i can pay it myself not with loans. Fuck banks.
@ Very smart move, you’re right about the BMWs I bought mine cheap and thankfully it hasn’t needed much work but I’ve done a lot of preventitive work and the costs will keep increasing once I take the intake manifold off to do glow plugs, clean up and delete swirl flaps. I also need to do injector seals, I am blessed to have a friend who is a BMW specialist and I know how to wrench myself so I don’t need to spend a tonne of money to recondition the car. You seem to have a very level head and no doubt the m4 will come in the future, good luck with it
Isn't it already considered as felony in some countries? How does MOT work in these cases ? I know in some countries you can pay a person not to look for it, etc. Just wondering how it's in UK.

Is it normal after all cat, dpf, egr off, remaped and no glowplugs the car smokes at iddle (white) ?
Tell me Something, i have a 123d done egr delete + dpf delete both fisically and exhaust only has the final resonator, flap delete etc.. it was software remaped as well, the car starts and runs great but it has a strong smell and white smoke from exhaust, remap company and my mechanic said it was normal, what is your opinion is this normal? thank you in advance! PS: I have no glow plugs as they aren't needed in my country ( never had cold climate)
@@pav1u i cant answer you unless i was to run a few test. I need to know compression on wet and dry. Need to see state of injector values. Is not normal, does it do it more than 5min after start ? Also on a warm start ?
Delete the ad blue, dpf but keep the egr, as deleting the egr will slowly kill your engine.

i have just had my dpf removed along with egr shut off and stage 1. drives great but please can anyone tell me how it will pass an mot without any dpf or cat as i believe they are in the same section straight after the manifold. its a 2014 2 series 218d. any help or advice would be great also there is a smell of fumes now when car is ticking over. thanks in advance. adam
Just get a good mapper. Had hell due to a bad map. Was from one of the bigger companies. In short they didn't fully deactivate it and even added adblue (to a none add blue car) a second turner spotted all the mistakes and now the car truly feels like it's free.
One question, did you also remive the egr? I spoke with 2 mechanics .. one said to remove it with the dpf, one said to keep it, idk what to do

Deci ala e o valva care baga gaze de evacuare in admisia de aer pentru ca are monoxid de carbon din ardere. Valva aia i controlata de calculatoru de bord. Scopu pentru care face asta e ca sa reduca temperatura de combustie in cilindrii atunci cand matale nu folosesti motoru la capacitate. Computeru analizeaza ce faci si deschide valva asta ca sa reduca emisiile ca atunci cand reduci temperatura de ardere scad emisiile. Da partea proasta e ca desi scad emisiile bagi in motor carbon din evacuare si atunci admisia ta arata ca un cos de fum necuratat de 100 de ani. Pe langa aia iti contaminezi uleiu mai repede si depui calamina pe segmenti. Deci erg intradevar reduce poluare da iti reduce si viata motorului semnificiativ. Mai exact cam o injumatateste. Is sisteme care lucra in tantem . Deci cand faci remap erg e oprit oricum electronic. Nu are nici un rost sa l lasi acolo. Numa risti necazuri se deschide si baga jeg in motor strica throttle body etc

@@dre2955 i sold the car some time ago but i kept in touch with the owner. A young kid that abused the fuck out of it . I did the delete at 80k and sold at 173 l. Gear box gave up on it he told me. Engine still going. So dpf delete did good for the engine as it lasted me almost 100 k

@@motorrebell i bought them from their dealership . I think they are way over priced. Just some basic leather shoes . Not even very good quality leather to be honest. Ecco are 10 times better , or Lowa boots. Or scarpa or keyland. This are honestly like the cheap military shoes we used to have 20 years ago from Russia, waste of money honestly. Thanks for the vid. Considering doing DPF delete on my '07 e92 330xd - around 250kkm DPF troubles started with regeneration running every 50 kilometers. Did you go with downpipe or did you leave DPF box with insides gutted?
@@czr4140 i turn box into exhaust keep the diameter of pipe along way . Or gutted . But is a bit noisy sound like rushian mig jet fighter 😂

this comment is another example of small minded thinking. It’s about reducing particulates in the air near where people live. Next time you’re by a busy road just have a look at the thin film of black grime on nearby surfaces. Imagine what you don’t see in the air.
@@lx5103 Yup, unfortunately the diesel particulates get stuck in the pulmonary alveoli and cancer is a possibility. I can tell easily when an idling car has no DPF, the sensation in my body is horrible.

It means it recirculates the exhaust into the admision and put carbon back in the engine. The dpf is just a filter . Diesel particle filter. So how the fuck by stopping the egr you put more carbon in huh ? You stop the carbon deposit you donut 😂
That coolant you spilled looked very bad, like chocolate shake. Looks like oil in coolant, maybe head gasket blown?

@@ATICrossX coolant was changed right after i got the car , and that is 4 years ago. It was part of the first repairs i done to it . Since then the car done a lot of miles but this new type of coolant do not require changing very often. It looks a dark pink and i never had to add any , but yeah it did develop slight nuance of brown over time. I guess changing it again would be good . By the way on a blown gasket the car smokes like crazy and this one does not also you get water in oil and the oil is clean and same level. The m57 engines do not get this problem. They have other problems but gaskets is not their thing. At the moment the car has 170k . So it would do well with some more work in it to be fair. Gear box should be serviced again, the button on left door need fix. Seats need refurbish again. Left back shock is starting to go. They did not find at mot but i can feel it. I know the car. I am not asking huge price for it . And is not a lot of work to be done.

@@John-yx8px as wheel in the right side is a problem with registering in EU countries . I tried leaving the car to my dad as he needed a better car but cant register in Ro . Is nothing i can do except sell . Moving wheel to left would not be something possible is an insane job. This is hell of a car at this money it will sell . I fuel up in lancaster and drove to Paris on 1 tank and was still left 1/4 in it … . Very good on fuel for a 3 litre engine

I walked into my local garage, who's also my MOT tester, to ask if they had any experience with EGR and DPF issues. He told me I should get the EGR mapped out as it's much cheaper to do and is better for the car. He also assured me it would pass emissions, but still I have my doubts... It would be just my luck to do this and then the government makes emissions checks more strict.

@@mihairadupop2491 Couldn't agree more with the last part, and I think I'll go ahead with the map. But just know that if emission checks suddenly become more strict it's because you practically forced me to do this to my car.
@@Costa_del_Artlepool they will not put proper testing in uk as they too busy with taxing us in pay per mile . I seen enough of this shit hole to understand it now. There are not even technical inspection cars to run checks in traffic like in Ro. Mot here is a joke , mine passed with hand brake pads gone and i swapped them myself after as i want my hand brake to work well . Mot did mot even notice that . Look im not forcing you to do anything. There is alternative to dpf end egr delete. You must walnut blast valves every 50k miles , do 3-4000 miles oil changes and flush every time to keep the engine spotless clean inside, make sure glow plugs work perfect and it will last long time. But in the end the concept of egr is deadly for engines is like adding carbon to intake and it build up. You can fight it best you can. I would decide based on age of car and miles done and how long i want to keep it. Do not know your situation …. Did you know USA new cars for the army come with egr blocked from factory ? Wonder why …. What is your situation ? Age of car, miles , keep long term ? If you want my opinion.
@@mihairadupop2491 I've had the car remapped and it drives great. One concern I have is the DPF (which can no longer perform regens) may clog up over time. I realise the exhaust gases passing through it won't be as sooty because they are no longer being recirculated, but will the DPF eventually become completely blocked? Should I definitely remove the honeycomb interior like you did, or wait and see how it goes? Is there still a way to read soot levels in the DPF with a diagnostic after the remap?
@@Costa_del_Artlepool remove dpf fast , it clogs and put stress on turbo and damage it. Do not drive much like this , if u put a tester now on exhaust pressure is off the scale for sure . Thats how mine had turbo failure when i got it . I had to rebuild both.

The testers don't actually read grams of CO2 or whatever. My MOT tester is the one who advised me to get the EGR and DPF mapped out when I had issues with them.

F.Y.I there is such thing as fake engine oil. It looks the same but it isn't, is a copy.
This was no copy. This is uk company and was purchased from a big as car parts store that are distributors. UK made, UK sold.... the perfect scam . Let me tell you something about the uk as i been into like 20 countries so far. This place is called the scam land because as they did hundreds of years ago when went on a world trip to scam and steal they still do the same on a smaller scale. Like with this oil and pretty much anything they can.

Make sure you have all on engine going perfect ! That dpf died for a reason... or it can smoke.

So... you have a bad glow plug (100£ let's say), the ECU doesn't regenerate and the DPF gets blocked. You deleted the DPF,EGR, remaped the ECU for 1000£+. After that you've changed the glow plug... 🤨
@@alexdragomirescu5084 you have a bad glow plug and you do not know because most people if they get no check engine they never put a scanner to look ! When was last time you put scaner on it and read all your codes ? I do every oil change to see . Dpf get blocked , and by time you get check engine dpf is 70% blocked, pr more, your turbo is already damaged , and you are in limp mode. This was not my doing. The idiot who had the car did this and sold the car at 70k miles with both turbos worn and dpf dead so i got it dirt cheap and fixed all and yes put fucking new glow plugs and now i got 170k and car is still going grate. If he would have done like a 30k mile service, put new glow plugs he would be still driving it . 30k , you take off glow plugs and change if needed and put them back. So you can still remove them. 30k oil in gear box and filter 5 k engine oil and filter and air filter 60k all manifold and valve clean off the car done by yourself 60k flush the antifreeze and put new 60k change steering fluid and brake fluid . Do this and car will last you a very very long time . About 500 k then the engine will eventually wear and chain will wear but that is a very long time most people drive that in a life time
@@mihairadupop2491 that's my point...people go to the "mechanic" because the car has a problem. The "mechanic" reads the codes with a cheap obd scanner and get a long list of codes (usually 😀). The only thing the "mechanic" sees is "dpf blocked" so he says...you need to change the dpf. 95% of times there's a problem before the dpf. It's amazing that certain "mechanics " even after 20 years of DPFs on cars cannot understand the system.... At least I hope you've got it for cheap 👍
@@alexdragomirescu5084 i paid 4000 for it with the rest of the car being 1 owner and full service at bmw ( LooL ) they missed the glow plugs 😂😂😂. It had 63000 miles and looked mint inside out. A glow plug killed turbo, killed dpf. Quote from them was like 10k . The guy sold it. I delete dpf as per video. I take turbo off and have them rebuild . Did all cleaning , new glow plugs all serice and all the brake job complete new too and new wheel bearings and pretty much anything it was needed . Wanted it perfect . Even had the interior professional detail and leather restored . Today has 170 k, i looked after it , proper serviced . Drove with care . Car is going grate and is very fast. I will be moving to Usa next year i will probably need to sell . I am gutted i have to give it up. I honestly wanna cry even thinking about it . I will buy bmw again there. Probably the M . That will cheer me up . Not sure what bmw will buy there… but it will be 3 L or more 6 inline or v8 . Dont like talk about it i really love this car make me sad to let go.
What about a failing turbo that is leaking oil into the DPF, resulting in it blocking/failing regens? No codes, other than DPF excess pressure etc/regen failing. Turbo was considered operationally fine by ECU. If completely unknown, how do you advise to diagnose (cheaply)? In the scenario above, I decided to DPF delete it, and then once it was obvious turbo was leaking oil into exhaust system, replace turbo. In the UK DPF deletion is very cheap, especially if you can do it yourself/know someone.
@@swoogles4093 is not that expensive to rebuild a turbo. Just do them so you have them ok . Really don’t want turbo failure on a highway get stranded.
So you basically turn off the egr and removed dpf plus remapped the ecu did you put an downpipe? Thanks. I want to do this service.
@@davidcarvalho1904 yeah, i did not put down pipe i cut the dpf off the car and made it into a silencer keeping the flow diameter correct . So it looks like it has the dpf but inside of it is just a stainless pipe and ceramic foam for sound dampen . So gas flow with no restrictions . And block the egr with a metal plate . Not just delete in computer . Make sure all on the engine is fine, glow plugs must all work and fit new. All manifold and valves clean and flaps removed and pcv valve new. Also make sure maf values are good when doing the delete. Also new filters, oil , in gear and engine and new antifreeze. Want it running perfect to make the delete and have no smoke . Also run a few botle of injector cleaner
