Nitpicking the Accuracy of the Super Game Boy
I love the Super Game Boy, but even with the accuracy and visual clarity of an FPGA SNES clone, it isn't the perfect solution for capturing Game Boy footage. Watch the video to find out why!

      @@nico94ar I'm sorry, I don't have the knowledge or experience to identify the exact type of screw needed. Even if I guessed, I don't want to put the wrong information out there. It might be worth buying a cheap broken console and using those screws. It isn't the cheapest option, but at least you'll know you have the right screws for certain.

    Would love it if someone could confirm how it works when playing 4 player PS1 and PS2 games on a PS3 with wireless ps3 controllers works? Is this just a PS3 fat with physical disk versions of PS1 and PS2 games that can do this? Or can you also do this with PS3 slim and backups of PS1 and PS2 games on a modified PS3 slim with 4x PS3 controllers

    • @RestoreRevise
      @RestoreRevise 8 дней назад

      In the video, I confirm this works with physical PS1 games on a PS3 Super Slim. I would imagine it works similarly with PS2 games, although I don't have any PS2 Classics or a PS3 original model to confirm that. If playing PS1 and PS2 backups uses the same interface as playing a real disk does on PS3, then that should also be possible, but I can't confirm this personally.

    • @timbaker5353
      @timbaker5353 8 дней назад

      @RestoreRevise Thanks again for this very useful video and your reply. But I thought that only the PS3 fat that could play physical PS2 games. I'm asking as even though I have a PS5 I would like a slim PS3 just to play my favourite old PS1 and PS2 4 player games when I have friends over and would be great if I could do this without having to buy two different multi tabs and consoles.

    • @RestoreRevise
      @RestoreRevise 6 дней назад

      @@timbaker5353 I believe that some other PS3 models can play physical PS2 games. Some models have the actual PS2 hardware on the motherboard, and some play physical PS2 games via emulation (possibly a mix of hardware and software, but that's a little beyond my understanding). All PS3 consoles can play physical PS1 games, from what I know. A PS3 would be a great solution for your needs - I would recommend doing some research on the various models and their capabilities as far as physical PS2 games go before making a purchase, but I think you're on the right track.

    Thank you for your video. My room's set top box is secured behind a metal cover that is part of the TV wall mount. It is inaccessible less I unscrew parts of the mount. I am not willing to do this. I unplugged power from the back of the TV, then unplugged the serial and HDMI cable. I connected my device to the TV's HDMI 1 port that was previously in use. If the hotel offers Wi-Fi access for guests, I think most consoles support captive portal pages nowadays. Those are the pages you have to open and agree to the terms and/or provide your name and room number to before you can access the internet. That's worth a try. If not, your best bet would be to tether to your phone via Wi-Fi and use your mobile data, if your cell phone plan has unlimited data and allows tethering. I wouldn't recommend connecting to random networks or anything like that. I haven't been in a hotel which offered a wired internet connection in a long time, but if one is available, that's your most reliable and simplest option.

      Are you sure your PS4 is using a sound format that the TV can accept? It's possible you're trying to use Dolby or DTS Surround; try forcing your sound format to PCM Stereo (or the PS4 equivalent) and see if that fixes it. If not, my recommendation would be to grab some headphones and listen to the audio through the controller instead. It can be hard to diagnose that sort of issue without seeing it in person, and that should be a reliable workaround.

Pokemon red/blue weren’t though. But I do think you might be kinda on to something because the gameboy color felt more like what pokemon was originally intended for- so many diff color palettes (with that button combo when you boot a GBC) that really made the games look distinctive, plus pokemon yellow which was still 1st gen was enhanced tor the GBC.
