This channel and video uploads were created to showcase building in the game Wildstar. As this game is going to be shut down, I wanted to preserve some of the tours of the plots so they will live well beyond the game itself. YOU may shut down your servers Wildstar, but the builders will never die!! -- Wow that message is quite old now, but we builders have moved on as you can see by the collection of various game builds. Hope you enjoy. Comments are always appreciated.
ArkCraft: The Rebirth of the World - Beginning Ark Build
This 3rd episode walks through getting started with the Ark build, laying down the construction site and then completing page 1 of the build sections. The materials list for page 1 is included in the video. Subsequent pages materials are listed below in a comment. We did not undertake any of the side quests in this video, only the beginning ark build. Hope you enjoy!!

Просмотров 10628 дней назад
In this second installment of playing ArkCraft: The Rebirth of the World, we catch up on what's been crafted so far, visit the Ark Construction site, and start that quest line. After revisiting the home base, we're off to the Copper Mine and our first mini-boss in the mine. Then, we wrap up by constructing our farm at home base so we can start growing food we can cook in the stove. There's lots...

Just a quick video walkthrough on another custom ship I just completed. I call this one The Hawk. I was mainly playing with the layout of the Habs to see what kind of combination worked with this Y-wing-type ship. I have not included the step-by-step build process, just the overall look and walkthrough so you can be inspired as I am by other RUclips authors. Hope you enjoy!!

Welcome Starfield fans.... I'm here with another ship-building video for you. The inspiration for this build was the 1973 Pontiac Grand Prix, and while I tried really hard to make this look like a muscle car, it still looks like a ship. But heck, it is a ship. It did turn out pretty good so I wanted to share it with all of you. This ship is mostly end-game from a parts perspective, and it's 46m...

Also, some parts require you to progress through the storyline and quests to get the right parts...

Sorry this response is late, but thanks so much! It's always nice to see that people like and are watching my work. Have fun.
I really like your work! It's just GREAT! BTW, do you know the name of the balcony wall brick?
No worries…Thank you!
Thank you too!
Hi. This is awesome…who is the designer?
Sorry for the late reply. The designer is RLR Creations. Great stuff and one of my go to designers for bags, etc.
Nice Build Did you use any Mods? BTW Love the Miranda Lawson Outfit
Thanks for the comment. Yes I do have some mods on it, but nothing that would stop you from building it. No glitch mod or anything. The mods I have are to see all ship parts on my outpost, have more than 10 ships, and of course the clothing mod you noticed. I have some others but not really related to the ship building. Hope that helps. Thanks.
What a beautiful design!
Thank you so much!! It means a lot to hear you say that and that people like some of my odd designs.
Excellent ship! It looks like you carefully considered every detail.
Thanks. I tried to make sure it was a good design both functionally and astatically. Appreciate your comments.
What is the starting ship used for build this?
I bought a cheap ship from anywhere, deleted it, and did this from scratch. I didn't renovate any particular existing ship. Thanks for your question/comment :)
👍👍 Nice ship designs. That Stormbringer V is a beast. I like the reactor being visible on top. (Funny side note - I've got the same outfit mod (Miranda suit?) and a cowboy hat on my character, so it made me do a double-take when your character popped up on screen.)
Thanks so much for your feedback. Funny we had the same outfit. I do like it. The Stormbringer is one of my favorites.

Not sure I understand. Please let me know if I can answer your questions or comments. Thanks for the post.
Nice ship Ches! To me your footage still looks a bit chunky. If you are exporting at 60 fps that can’t be the issue… do you know what your in-game fps looks like?
Hmmmm.... I don't. I also saw something in the recording that leads me to believe it is only recording at 25fps. So even outputting at 60fps wouldn't probably fix that. I was going to try to figure out how to change that as well in the software. But I will look into both. You said you were using nvidia and what software?? Do you have links to both so I can check them out? Maybe it's time for a change. Thanks for the feedback.
@@chesliadaywalker3015 my bad Chez I just saw this! Never got a notification, thanks YT... If you have an Nvidia graphics card, you can press Alt+Z, and it will open the overlay. From there, you can set the path for recordings and screenshots, and adjust your other capture settings. I also map the hotkeys for screenshots and recordings so I do not have to open the overlay to start/stop. For editing I use Adobe Premiere Pro, but I have been recommended Davinci Resolve by several more experienced creators. Apparently it's a free software and works very well, potentially just as well and more stable than Premiere.
Thanks, I'll check it out. I've moved on to Palworld atm so I'm not playing Starfield too much....but I'm sure I'll come back to it.
@@chesliadaywalker3015 Starfield or not, it’s good to know how you can achieve high-quality capture footage. Hopefully that can be of some help to you, but either way use what works best for you!
Slick
Thanks for the comment!!
Damnit Ches! When I saw the title I expected at least a few seconds of the original Pink Panther theme music. How disappointing! Lol I’m kidding, good build!
Actually I tried to find it and download it and failed miserably in my attempt. And Filmora wanted me to subscribe to something to look through their stash. But yes, my thoughts were exactly the same. Thanks for the comment/support!! I really liked the unique look of this ship without it being crazy looking.
Question.....was the quality/fps better on this video? Oh and how's my dogfighting? You said you could help this tired ole' people. :)
Another cool custom design with a very distinct look. And because it stretches so much to the sides it looks much lighter than it is. It looks especially good in action from behind because of space between the engines and the middle part. The one-ladder keeps me thinking if really should go for it aswell, but I feel that 3 levels are the maximum for a single ladder in terms of practical use. Did you ever build a 4-floor-ladder ? Also your base looks really nice. Especially with the view it offers from up there.
Thanks. Yes the Smokin' Hot has 4 levels in it with only 2 ladders....one goes from entry level to 2nd and the second one goes from 2nd to 3rd and they are in good places. It was the best i could get with a big ship like that. Thanks for your support and kind feedback. I did finish watching your video. Good job! I'm going to leave the rest of my comments on your site itself :)
Question.....was the quality/fps better on this video?
@@chesliadaywalker3015 compared to your non-60fps Videos, yes. It was smoother.
Thanks...that's what I like to hear.
Who cares? Get a hobby bro, this game is trash
Thanks for your honest feedback. Isn't is nice that there are so many games out there and we have the freedom to choose whatever we want to do with our time?
Dogshit comment. Get a brain, BRO.
I try to use the Deimos bottom port to keep everything clean, also, been trying for a zero ladder build
Ladder placement can be quite tricky. If you use the Cabot cockpit with it's built in ladders it is possible, but very tricky to achieve zero ladders. Keep trying.....you'll do it. Thanks for the comment.
FYI / I case it helps anyone... There's a mod for PC version called "Place Doors Yourself" that works great. The only downside is: You literally have to place EVERY door yourself. So it can be a little tedious. I'm getting used to it now, though. I just get the layout of the habs done first and figure out where I want the doors /what the pathway will look like. Then, when I've got the overall thing planned, I'll just go through and add the doorways I want.
I might have to check that out if I get back to playing this game again. Thanks for your comment.
It's a cool design and I think I saw it before already in my recommendations. Also: this video looks noticeably smoother than some previous ones 👍
Great....glad to hear it is noticeably smoother. I may go back and try to fix the others, at least Starfield ones. Yeah I liked this design. It is a lot like Devil's Grasp.
WOW it looks great in red! Well done on the video, I like that you showed the ship in action before the interior tour. You can control door and ladder placement to some degree, but when I made this ship I was unaware of the method. When you hover over an attachment point where you want a door or ladder to be, hold both triggers and press A (G on keyboard), and the menu will pop up with any module you can attach to that point. I detail that method for the first time in the Aetos guide, and have been using it ever since. Very helpful, but build order still matters as well so some trail and error is still required. Actually, if you watch me build the Citadel, I use that method all over the place because that build uses every type of hab and has a very expansive interior. It was quite the challenge to end up with a layout that was sensible and easy to navigate. Thanks very much for sharing this with us! I'm going to have to build a ship of yours sometime when I need some inspiration. Keep them coming!
Thanks so much for the feedback. Glad you like it. Yes, I knew about the door/ladder attachment point, but as you said it can still come down to trial and error. It can be a unique challenge and I'd really wish they'd let us put them where we want them. Make each habitat with/without ladder choices and then give us a couple points on the ladder choices of where to place them. Their building systems for ships and for outposts really needs some improvement and I hope they take that into account in coming releases. Question....did the 60fps make a difference on this video? or should I start looking at alternative software? Thanks!!
This build has a very unique shape, and it reminds me of the XB-70 Valkyrie. I dislike most of the Taiyo habs but those storerooms look very clean! The all-white makes them feel less claustrophobic. First time seeing the interior of them. Also, is that big platform in your outpost from a mod? I haven’t seen anything like that in my game. I have a question about your footage… It seems like you either have low framerate or maybe you export the content at 30 fps?
Yes those big platforms around my base are from the Foundation Engineering Mod -- www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/6968. I also have B.A.S.E. but find it's kind of cumbersome to work with. Those are the walls you see up around the edges of the big platform so I don't go falling off. I built my outpost up on top of a big mountain so I could have the glass habs and gorgeous 360 degree views on Hyla II. The Foundation Engineering mod also allowed me to get past the "too tall foundation" problem so I could actually put my landing pad up by my house instead of off on the ground away from the base. I also got a mod that is supposed to let me get past the whole problem of overlapping but it only works sometimes. Fortunately it did work with the landing pads and foundations, not much else. As for my filming, I use Filmora9 for my filming/editing/publishing tool. I have it create the exported video in 1920x1080 (full HD) even though it records much higher. Then it picked 25fps as its default for output at that resolution. Do you think that really affects the video? I tried to keep them smaller for uploading but maybe I should tweak the settings a bit if the video quality isn't the best. I've not gotten that deep into my video making cuz I don't honestly have many followers or people that even watch past about the first 5 minutes (or less) according to my statistics from RUclips.
@@chesliadaywalker3015 makes sense that those are from mods, I just wanted to make sure they weren’t missing because of a lack of skill point spending/research in the vanilla game. Personally I’m going to hold off on mods until they’re available for console players too. If when you’re playing the game you have good framerate, then the 25fps output is definitely the culprit. It’s not poor quality, it just isn’t very smooth. That can be jarring for some viewers. I use nvidia overlay to capture and Premier Pro for editing, my export settings are High Quality 1080p / 60fps. If you can change your output framerate I bet it will be buttery smooth.
@@chesliadaywalker3015 I also forgot to mention… Average view duration for me is about the same. Anywhere from 5-10 minutes is the average across all my content thus far. Length doesn’t seem to have a direct effect on that either. I think if you just keep uploading, and keep improving quality in the process, your viewership will increase. My subscriber count is less than 1% of my total view count, but I always see a jump in subscribers with each new video. We just gotta keep at it! You’re doing great, just don’t quit!
I'll definitely mess with the output fps and quality. I really had no idea it would affect the video so much but I guess it really could. I also have nvidia but didn't know you could use an overlay for something like it. I don't know if it is too late to teach this old dog new tricks but I know I can tweak the output in Filmora so I might give that a shot first since I'm familiar with the tool. Thanks for all the feedback, it's great. I'm not out to reach that big number of viewers or to be a RUclipsr that everyone talks about....I do it for fun and to document my craft in whatever game I'm playing. I actually started it back in Wildstar when we had some massive builds and they were going to shut down the game and I didn't want to lose all my hard work without some memories of it. That was probably the best building game I've ever used....you could do anything in that game from board by board to sets to entire plots to pick up and deploy. I actually built Hogwarts. Took me well over a week, but it's one of the ones I'm most proud of. Anyway....thanks again.
@@chesliadaywalker3015 you built. Hogwarts. And you’re so nonchalant about it? Sounds impressive, although I’ve never heard of Wildstar. I wasn’t out to become a youtuber either, but we could all use some extra scratch. You’re over halfway to monetization and once you get there you’ll be even more motivated to keep creating. It’s awesome to be rewarded for your efforts.
Hey Ches, a cool idea to make this V shape with the bumpers ! I would say it is straight forward BUT as you said it is so big that it needs game mods to work like that. On that topic: did you encounter game breaking bugs ( like not being able to land or getting stuck in space ) when you exceeded the normal limits of the game ? Using the console commands did not work for me because of those bugs, although the errors ( ship exceeding the limits) went away. I hit the limits with my current build by only 3 units over 80 in length but even that small bit cause all sorts of problems when I extended the limitis with the console commands alone. And yes, you must be obsessed with shipbuilding aswell 😅. Also nice touch of adding music and those edited clips to show it in action. I hope you have as much fun making those, as it is watching them :)
Actually this is the first ship that I made that was oversized and I don't have a mod that specifically allows it, but I guess that the one I do have made some exceptions behind the scenes. With that said...I only flew this one around for a bit while filming and have since gone back to one of my favorites for regular wet work so I haven't encountered the "getting stuck" problem. One time I ended up in a horizontal position to the ground and couldn't walk around or do anything and had to revert to a previous save, but that wasn't in a ship or even when I was working on this one. Odd, though...I'll keep my eyes open for it. I'm so glad you watched enough to get to the end and see that musical finale. I thought it turned out so cool and so many people will never watch far enough to even see it. Thought about putting it at the beginning so people do see it, but maybe that's for the next one. Thanks for your support. Us addicted ship builders have to stick together :O
Hey Ches, I dont know where to start. I had to watch this more than one time because it is so very detailed. It has so many different parts and very carefully placed but not in a straight forward block-style. It is really impressive in that aspect alone already. If anyone will take advantage of any new modules we might get for Starfield it will be you 🙂. You said it -and after watching the whole process of just putting it back together I believe it- this must have taken a lot of time to put together. You had already convinced me of using the side corridors for a ship and it this another great case for it. The Dragon's Breath is very Long with 74 but it doesnt look big or clunky at all. It still looks nimble because of the space between the wings and under the upper connection between the wings. Really an awesome design, Ches. The "Wings" fit the Dragon theme really well. As I said I watched it more than once but didnt want to immediately comment without understanding how cool it was. Btw: I have now finally progressed enough to build the design I wanted for my new big ship ( derived from Kepler R). I will make a video and upload it. Maybe not a full presentation like yours because for me it will probably take some time to make and edit it like you. Speaking of: you are uploading so fast. Did have all these ships ready and waiting ? Anyways. I will now watch the new one 😅 . Thanks for the tour!
Thanks so much for your wonderful comments and feedback. I can't wait to see yours!! It's so cool to know that someone out there is actually enjoying and watching these videos. If there is anything I can improve on, please let me now. As for how quickly I'm able to upload....I have no life. I rarely sleep, and when I do it's generally with the keyboard stuck to my forehead <smile>. I was actually making the parts list for this ship and when I actually woke up and saw the list I thought I had clearly wrote, I couldn't believe the lines all over it, the jibberish comments on the sides, and the uncompleted items listed. <shaking head> That's what I get for the lack of sleep and insomnia side effects. I just get so into the design and build that I don't realize it's 3am and I'm still not sleepy....well until my head hits the desk anyway. I do have another in the wings I finished and was debating whether I was going to upload. I still don't know if I will or not, but we'll see. I want to find something totally off the wall and bizzare to build. I started that with Dragon Breath, but couldn't quite accomplish what I wanted....I'm still noodling that one. Thanks again for your support and feedback.
@@chesliadaywalker3015 you are welcome. And I enjoyed your passionate vibe and the inspiration from first video I saw already. But so far I didnt share my designs with others much or gave any detailed feedback, when I saw clips of cool custom ships. I was too busy playing and building myself after launch. Now I see that it probably is even more fun to dive deeper into other ship builder minds and share it. I really didnt plan on doing any videos on Starfield but now I want to, just to show you. I dont know if I will upload it tomorrow or the next days ( especially if I attempt to make a 'tour' ). But I already tried recording footage today after I had the preliminary build finished.
Great, just let me know the link and I'm there. :)
Wow, those are some great improvements. Especially the first ship has so much more 'personality' with the cockpit change and overall enlargement. The bigger back of the Masher also looks better than the original. But the last one definitely takes the cake. It looks amazing in style and shape. The reactor in the middle visible and surrounded by the stylish structural parts. I like the interior details on the last two ships aswell for practicallity. You go in and are ready to take off. I also like how you used store rooms to hide ladders. It is probably the best possible we can do at this point without dedicated stair or elevator modules. Again, your enthusiasm for your builds is great. And since I am currently so obsessed with this topic aswell, I am glad you uploaded more so quickly. Gonna watch the Dragon breath next chance I get 😅 Thanks for sharing
Forgot: I also enjoy building on existing ships a lot more in my second playthrough than I did in the first where I was experimenting a lot from scratch. Currently I am working on my on variant of Kepler R ship :) I try to keep the white style and visible Stroud-Eklund habs but get rid of the "Container" ship vibes. The Big hope Tech radiators you got on the Stormbringer V look awesome and I planned to incorporate them aswell.
Thanks for your overwhelming support. It makes it worth the time of recording, editing, and getting these into RUclips when people appreciate the work.
You do it....it's great fun. If you don't do videos, send me a few snapshots as I'm dying to see what you do with your modifications.
@@chesliadaywalker3015 I was just in the middle of watching the pink Panther video. But now it's no longer there. Btw: I uploaded a video of my ship to my channel. I tried to keep it short since I mainly wanted to share it. But I probably will make a final version of it when it's fully done.
I found a glaring problem with it and had to yank it and fix it. It's back out there now. I'm gonna go check out your video!!
I enjoy the video and the ship looks unique and cool. Do what you enjoy and ignore the haters.

@@chesliadaywalker3015 👍😎
Looks nice! I actually love the ship design in Starfield. I changed the Frontier like 5 times already 😂
Thanks for your comment. I did that with the Mantis for a while until I got better at capturing ships out in the stars. Then I used those to make some credits and started experimenting more. I like my habitats a certain way and building something unique is challenging for me.
Sweet!
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback.
One my biggest hopes for future Starfield updates and even DLC is that we get even more shipbuilding content and quality of life improvements. Manually selecting were doors and ladders are placed on the ship would be great. Also sharing ship builds via codes that can be copied and pasted would be great. To that end we could also use a storage for ALL our ship parts and weapons. Then we can buy modules from all the shops and build it wherever we are. Also that way we dont need to sell the modules and weapons we dont want to use at the moment, just store them in our big shippart storage.
Thanks for the comment. I hadn't even thought about a place to store modules and weapons, but that would be an AWESOME idea. I got a mod from Nexus that basically lets you have all the parts at any shipbuilder so I don't have to run around to get them, but saving the ones we can use for later without losing money turning them back in would be very helpful!
The Freestyle Colonies 😅 Not to be confused with United colonies or the Freestar Collective.
LOL yeah I get my tongue twisted around my eye teeth and can't see what I'm saying sometimes :) Interesting you watched long enough and caught that. Kudos for that!
@@chesliadaywalker3015 I enjoyed seeing how passionate you were about building ships, talking about the whole process and giving your perspective. This just resonates super well with me. Btw: thanks for the tip with mods for all ship parts. And if I ever do a video about my own ship(s) I will let you know :)
Hey there, as someone who also loves building ships in Starfield: Your Devil's Grasp design looks very good and well thought out. It seems good all around but in a compact form. Also the one-ladder design and the two hallways make this ship easy and fast to walk through. Love the color design. Work benches ( and all the materials to mod weapons+suits ) is always good on board. And your cargo space definitely allows for that. Also : Omari Hassan is always good 👍 You inspired me to build a ship very similar to yours when I reach lvl 60 ( second play through at the moment). Only for my personal taste, I cannot go without a deimos armory on my ships. Ideally somewhere close to cockpit so that I can always can quickly grab the right tool for the mission ( boarding enemy ships, killing xenomorphs or even use non lethal weapons for a peaceful approach ). Also I like to put shielded cargo on my ships. But thats just bc I love being a space bounty too much 😅 Anyways, thank you for sharing and giving inspiration 👍
Thanks so much for the great feedback. It sounds like you enjoy the building process as much as I do. I debate the armory often but don't use it enough...and yes I'd prefer the shielded storage, but unfortunately they don't have it in the large sizes and I wanted to be able to haul a LOT with this one with the limited space :) It's always a trade off on putting on more storage and how it can affect mobility and then you get restricted putting on more than 12 power in the engine category. Hope you find this inspiring and please let me know if you ever build something and put it in RUclips so I can check it out too.
Starfield's build system or whatever you call it is utter crap. You wanna put stuff on top of each other you go randomly move your mouse and pray the game understands what you wanna do... it's utter crap
I do agree it can be very frustrating. I've kind of gotten used to it now and so it doesn't frustrate me to the point of pulling out my hair .....well not all the time anyway :) Thanks for the feedback.
RUclips recommended your video to me, and I agree with you that the ship builder is potentially the best feature in the game. I’ve got well over 500 hours in the game and I’ve learned a lot about putting ships together. If you’re interested, I think you could benefit from the lessons and tips and tricks that I’ve learned from building. And feel free to use any of my ships, just please give me a mention if you do so. Liked and subbed! Merry Christmas!
Thanks. It's always good to find other builders. I'll definitely check it out. Merry Christmas to you too.
@@chesliadaywalker3015 yes I think we can all learn from each other, and it can hopefully only help our content!
I redesigned my Ranger ship also..
Yeah it's a great place to start though. I just liked the look and wanted to keep that as best I could while upgrading the necessary components to make it kick butt!
Same here..@@chesliadaywalker3015

Wow, this is stunning! I tried to do this house, but it was glitching so badly that I just had to sell it. I hope it won’t do that next time I go for this house.

Is there a video tutorial available?
I don't believe so....this is an RLR design (www.rlrcreations.com/) so you could check out her web site and see if there is. I don't have one myself.
I do the same… I go in with my big hammer 🔨 and start knocking down walls 💪. Sometimes a few and sometimes pretty much all of them.
Sorry for the late response....Yep and Yep!! :)
I know it's a bit late since you made the video but I love the base. Awesome work and I'm now subscribed to you as well. #LoveIt #NeverGiveUp
Thank you so much! Always appreciate people who can appreciate the work that goes into building in a game! Sorry for the late response...just haven't been around much :)
I wish you had a video so I could recreate this
Why does it identify as a bunker?
Sorry for the late reply....I'm sure you already have the answer. But usually if they identify as a bunker they have a hidden room/bunker access somewhere on their premises. My video should show the bunker if there is one.
