    I don't know I could be wrong but weren't these swords tested by cutting prisoners heads off or limbs off so I don't think Juniors fingertips are going to destroy it he could be wiping it off when he's done with the video who knows

    Not an antique sword. That is a cheap stainless sword. I'm shopping for a sword now in the 300-600 year range. Muromachi era would place that sword at circa 1300-1400. Absolutely no hamon visible on the blade as well as many other tell tale signs.

      Hello Bill Dyches, I think you an expert on this swords, I have one that maybe 400 years old or more,need you to analize, if possible give me email to send photos.

      what do you mean you cant see the hamon i can..

    • @pointchart
      @pointchart 3 года назад

      No. It was imported from Japan with all paper works. This is an original antique with blade smith name(長光) )on the tang. It also has beautiful hamon, though hada is not clear. I understand that you have difficulty to verify many things with this short video.

    People have put in hundreds of years preserving this blade and you severely damage it by touching it!!!! I hope you have done some reading and stopped this out of respect for the history behind it.

      Right. But, I also clean the finger marks after I touch the blade. Thanks.

    Pay due respect! NEVER touch the blade with bare hands! Obtain a traditional Japanese sword maintenance kit, and follow the instructions as to how to use it. The sword you have was cared for with such kits from the day it was forged and that is why it is in such good condition to this day.

    Keep your hands off of the blade. It shows ignorance in the handling and care of a samurai blade. Wipe the blade with a soft cotton cloth. DON'T POLISH IT just wipe the blade clean or the places where you have touched it will turn dark and finally get rusty.

  • @myblacksunshine1

    I have this same model. They call it a bullet button because you can use the tip of a .22 round to release the magazine. I do it all the time. The top rail was a promotion. There were a limited number of guns released with the rail. Overall, it handles nicely and accepts aftermarket magazines well. It requires tools to clean, so I don't use it much. It's still nice to have around and look at once in a while.
